“Great Cottage”
Reviewed July 15, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Has everything you want and is right on the doorstep of Kinder Scout and "The Village" Tv series filming location, what more could you want? Ideally placed to visit everywhere the peak district has to offer such as castleton and mam tor which was brilliant. The cottage is perfect for a quick getaway and the dogs absolutely loved every minute of it, including the chickens and the sheep. Spot On A*. Lorna was very helpful as well.

My husband, myself and our little JRT stayed at this cottage for a short break over Easter.
The cottage is amazing in every aspect, it's warm, cozy, clean, aesthetically pleasing, set in a beautiful location, walks in abundance!
The cottage is in the village of Hayfield which has some really lovely pubs, chip shop, tea rooms, village stores and an abundance of beautiful walks right on its doorstep, to mention a few Kinder Scout, Kinder Reservoir, Edaleand the Sett Valley Trail.
The cottage was perfect in every way and a fabulous place to reside and unwind from the stresses of modern day life.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait till we can return again!!

“Absolutely amazing!”
Reviewed March 6, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

A lovely little cottage in the most idyllic little village. Amazing views such as the kinder reservoir, and the friendliest people! The cottage is so cosy and warm, with the comfiest bed! Every little detail thought off (right down to tea, coffee and milk waiting for us on arrival), and the most adorable pets are waiting to greet you, especially the little dog and goats! Lorna was also an amazing host, made you feel welcome without being intrusive! We will definitely be returning!

“Excellent, cosy place in super surroundings”
Reviewed November 1, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We spent 4 nights in this lovely cottage, there was everything you need and it was very well decorated giving it a real warm cosy, homely feel. It was a pleasure waking up to the view across the valley. The village of Hayfield is ideally situated for visiting the Peak District, within easy walking distance there are plenty of pubs that serve very reasonably priced food and a good choice of real ales. A post office, pharmacy, and general store. Lorna was an excellent host and very helpful. We will certainly be going back.
