This B&B is located in Govone, midway between Asti and Alba. The town of Govone is very small, quiet and charming. The Savoy Palace across the street has a great park surrounding it. The B&B itself is beautifully restored and charming. The room was large and comfortable with an amazing view of the surrounding countryside, including the famous morning fogs needed for the wine. Guido was a charming and very knowledgeable host, and Raffaela was also charming, and an outstanding cook! We had a wonderful time.

Last May my husband and I took our first trip to Italy. We spent 3 glorious weeks touring the regions of Veneto, Tuscany and Piemonte. Piemonte is beautiful and there is so much to see and experience. We were very lucky to book a room at the beautiful Il Molino. Our 4 nights there were fantastic. Guido greeted us with a lovely appertif and a plate of local cheeses and salamis. Breakfasts featured a beautiful table overflowing with delicious homemade cakes, pies and breads as well as fruits, cheeses and yogurt. Raffaella is an amazing cook. Because we were staying an extended time they offered to cook a dinner for us - it was incredible!! Guido will fill you in on places to see, the wineries, and market days. We most certainly would return to this area and B&B - thank you so much Guido and Raffaella for such a memorable time. Oh yes do take in a dinner at the little restaurant around the corner from Il Molino - Trattoria Pautaussi - wonderful menu, delicious food.

I cannot say enough about the amazing experience we had at Il Molino. The owners Guido and Raffaella made us feel more like cherished friends rather than paying guests. We were welcomed on our first night by a lovely apperitif (a lovely local white wine Arneis) paired with local cheese and salumi in front of a fire. Raffaella's food was amazing! Breakfast was a delicious collection of homemade traditional Piemonte cakes, marmalades, and GREAT coffee. The room was also very lovely complete with an amazing view and jetted tub. The inn was also very conveniently located halfway in between Asti and Alba, in a charming little village that was a welcome relief after busy Florence and before Venice. But again, I cannot say enough about the hospitality Guido provided. From making amazing dinner recommendations and arrangements to driving us himself to and from nearby Alba to arranging and joining us on an amazing wine tasting experience with the winemaker. We would not only stay at Il Molino again without hesitation, but we would want to go back just to see our new Italian friends. Our best bed and breakfast experience ever! Grazie Guido and Raffaella!

My boyfriend and I stayed here as we were in Alba for the truffle festival. Great stay. Rooms were to very high standard new and clean with all the perfect finishing touches! Like home away from home! Breakfast was great, Amazing home made cakes and great coffee!! Husband and wife who own the place were very welcoming and attentive. Tiny little village perfect for a quite weekend away.

We recently got back from a two week holiday traveling in italy and this was definitely our favourite stop. This small family run B&B located between Alba and Asti has lovely rooms and serves up the most fantastic apperativos. The B&Bs super chirpy owner Guido will help you with endless personal recommendations for restaurants, wineries and food producers in the area. Guido and his wife Raffaella are the most amazing hosts and we really hope to be back soon. This is a brilliant base from which to explore piemonte.

Ps don't forget to save some space for the fantastic breakfast spread including Raffaella's lovely home made tarts!

One of our most delightful discoveries this year was the B & B "Il Molino" in Govone, Italy. The young owners, Guido and Raffaella, could not have been more gracious and helpful, greeting us at the door and escorting us to our spacious, comfortable room with its modern bathroom and panoramic view out over the countryside where the wines of langhe, roero, and monferrato are grown. A complimentary aperitif in their salon before we went out to dine in the village was more memorable than our dinner with its regional cheeses, pastries, and Raffaella's delicious checla, a hot, fried bread to enjoy with the cheeses or by itself. Breakfast the next morning was equally amazing with a huge assortment of fruits, homemade pastries and breads. We enjoy this area of Italy very much and have visited it frequently but we had never heard of this wonderful B & B, Il Molino, before this trip. Now when we return, we'll know exactly where to stay and we'll know to spend more than one night to sample all the area has to offer. Grazie mille, Guido e Raffaella!

Room Tip: There were only three room when we stayed there although Guido was working on more. They all had th...

I can only join with the congratualtions expressed in previous reviews! But those who should be congratulated are not only Guido and Raffaella, but ourselves that actually have had the opportunity to stay here! For me and my family Il Molino was only a stop-over on our way down to the coast. We expected an affordable stay in a suitable location in line with our planning. But this was so much more! Sometimes you can tell from the moment you meet people, before even talking, that this will be good. We were welcomed with a drink after having seen our rooms - and such nice rooms! Nice ancient furniture, well functioning facilities, comfortable beds - and as a whole an extremely welcoming and elegant atmosphere. Guido had a chat with us and booked a table for us at a very nice restaurant where we aslo were welcomed in a very good way by the owner/waiter/chef?/journalist and former mayor of Serralunga!
For breakfast - the Italian way, not so much cereals or porridge - we enjoyed the homemade pastries, cakes and pies (pears with chocolate sauce anyone?) - and it was all so great.
We have already decided to come back and use Il Molino as our base camp when exploring the Langhe area. Guido made some suggestions for us on places to visit, wine to try etc. and will sure be of very good help. Guidance and planning support included in the price!
Great!
