La Vignaredda Residenza di Charme
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed June 8, 2012

Located in a quaint village, this charming guest house offers the best of Sardegna: unusual landscape, excellent unspoiled, secluded beaches, and villages that exude Sardinian culture. All of this within a short distance to main Sardinian tourist attractions. The proprietor makes every guest feel part of the family with unusual touches be it in the satisfying breakfast or amenities. Hope to keep coming back!

You arrive to Aggius best from the North via Villalba ascenting from the coast, crossing the rather unspectacular sedimentary and porphyritic ridges. When you arrive at a small pass, all of a sudden you are in another world, with exotic granite boulders laying all over the area - really the right introdution to the granite village. The Residenza is a tastefully renovated old granite construction with all the amenities that a traveller deserves after a long travel day.
everything is nice and well maintained. the stay resembles more the sensation of being in a small castle then a granite house. Everything is topped by the care and interest of Cristina - the landlady - always helpful to recommend the local specialities, be it in the kitchen or in the big nature around.

Room Tip: just seen the appartments - all fine to our knowledge

Beautifully restored family house in a lovely village and a great base for exploring the surrounding mountains and villages. You really do feel part of the Sardinian culture here.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded from a room to a suite, so probably shouldn't complain but you are paying top dollar here (for a B&B). Having said that, breakfast was wonderful with loads of fresh fruit, local jam and cakes etc and we had a stunning view from our terrace across the surrounding countryside. Owner Cristina was staying and regaled us with some great stories of her family and local history but, be aware, if she is not there the housekeeper speaks only limited English.
Do take time to walk around this charming village and the local 'village-life' museum is excellent- well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Go for the suites, they're more spacious
