Sometimes you have a memorable dining experience, with perfectly prepared food,
linen tablecloths and excellent service.....but in an elegant house, with the tables
nicely spaced and views of trees, at 2000 Yen, you have second thoughts of letting
others know, for fear you won't be able to get in.
Because this place has been in the family for several generations, you won't be
paying for the real estate, but instead a truly modest amount for lunch (about 2000Yen to 6500Yen, and about double for dinner) for an exquisitely prepared meal. You
can pay more just for the dessert and cafe elsewhere.
A reservation is needed, otherwise the tables will all be taken by the well-dressed
ladies taking a break from shopping and the few couples on a first date. A perfect
place for a celebration to be followed by a leisurely walk in Inokashira Park. It rates
with Chez Matsuo and Hiramatsu, which are four times the price.
