This was our first time here and it was as good as we had been told. We had the home made curry and steak and ale pie, followed by a large, delicious sweet. Including drinks we paid under £35. The service was friendly and efficient. There is another Bolton Arms nearby which causes some confusion, but I am writing about the one at Redmire.

Had a fantastic time once again. Always made to feel welcome by everyone. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well stocked with toiletries and tea, coffee etc. The food is superb and the breakfast is plentiful. Can highly recommend!

Popped in for a pint: Timothy Taylor Landlord, lovely. We booked for Sunday lunch (you have to it gets fully booked). Main course is £7.95, we had pork and beef. Both first class, good veggies, plenty of it. Prompt friendly service, cheesecake pudding was good too. Good for eating but also good just for a drink: the ales are very well kept and the owners and locals are very friendly.

We stopped for Sunday lunch with our coach party and despite us being late they were very friendly and helpful and had our meals sorted in no time. The staff were very friendly and all the food was excellent along with some excellent beer.
We would visit again and it is an eatery pub we would recommend without question.

We popped in here for lunch a few days ago, due to the great reviews on TA.
The pub is really nice, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Good choice of real ale, all well kept. We both opted for the steak pie with a suet pastry topping, not the cheapest at £9.50, but really tasty, served with fresh veg (carrots were too al dente!!) and new potatoes and chips. The only big negative was the fact they use frozen chips??!! If the chef cold muster up some really nice, home made chips, it would make a big difference. Sort this out and I would happily score it 5 out of 5 with no hesitation!!
