We stayed for 6 nights at The Old Town Hall at the end of July and had a wonderful time. Our room, the Four Poster, was beautiful and very spacious. The fridge in the room was really handy and we really appreciated the little extra touches like the pint of milk and complimentary wine and biscuits. Breakfast was gorgeous, the best we've ever had at a B & B. The only criticism would be that we did hear noise from the adjoining room (loud voices and TV noise) which did keep us awake. Thank you Lorri & Dave (and of course Shula) we had a lovely time.

Many thanks for your review. We are delighted that you had a wonderful time, and appreciated the little extras we provide in the rooms. We also feel honoured that our breakfast was the best you have experienced in a B&B! Very sorry you had noisy neighbours...unfortunately other guests are the only thing we have no control over. The majority of our guests are usually in bed and asleep by 10.30pm, so it is very rare that we experience any noise late at night...in fact most guests comment on the total silence they experience while here. Hopefully this will not deter you from another visit if you are ever in the North again. Thanks again for such a lovely review, and it was a pleasure having you to stay. Lorri, Dave & of course Shula x

Stayed two nights 7th/8th August 2013. On arrival greeted at door by Lorri & Dave and were swiftly taken to our room by Dave. Lorri provided a slice of delicious lemon drizzle cake and there were home made busuits on tea tray together with complimentary goodies in the fridge like a half bottle of red and white wine, two bottles water and some snacks and best of all a pint of fresh milk. How many places are let down by the provision of milk sachets!!! The room was superbly finished with a bathroom that was adequate and the humungous bed was very comfortable. The information in the room was comprehensive and you only had to ask for any further info. There was a comfortable guest lounge. The breakfast was first rate and Lorri will provide an evening meal if required (booking required). The icing on the cake in this really pretty village was the Bolton Arms pub just round the corner where the food was really good and reasonably priced. Lorri and Dave were very personable and we would have no hesitation in recommending this B & B

So kind of you to write such a positive review. Everything for breakfast is either home made, from the garden, or locally sourced, other than the 'Heinz' Baked Beans which no matter how hard we tried we could never recreate! Thanks again for taking the time to add your comments, hopefully we'll see you again soon. Lorri & Dave.

Stayed here for two nights after our wedding and it was the perfect getaway. Booked the Avignon Suite which had everything we needed, Dave and Lorri had thought of everything! Room was very clean, tastefully decorated, plenty of storage space etc. Bathroom was great, double spa bath and walk in shower! Had cake on arrival and complimentary wine/water/juice in our fridge.
Breakfast was very nice and good quality food, plenty of choice, fresh bread, homemade jams and good choice of fruit.

Had dinner in the Bolton Arms pub just around the corner which serves good food. Not much to do in Redmire but lovely and quiet and plenty to do in surrounding villages/towns.

Will definitely be staying here again!

Room Tip: Avignon Suite definitely worth the extra money for its bathroom and separate lounge.

It was a pleasure to have you stay for your honeymoon, and we are very pleased you enjoyed your stay here. Redmire, although a very pretty village, is rather sleepy! Apart from The Bolton Arms, which as you say serves very good food, we only have a Post Office, and Newspapers and Eggs are available at 2 farms in the centre of the village. At least you found plenty to do nearby, and thanks once again for the lovely review. Lorri & Dave.

There's not many things in life you can say are perfect, but the Old Town Hall comes very very close. Lorri and Dave are fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. The location is wonderful and the rooms are beautifully appointed. If you are looking for a relaxed stay with a warm welcome, yet also feeling pampered throughout... This is the place to stay!!

Once again, what a smashing review! We are very fortunate to be situated in the middle of such a beautiful village, with excellent walking from the doorstep, taking in Bolton Castle, Aysgarth Falls etc. We also feel extremely fortunate that you, and lots of other people find the time to submit such lovely comments here on TA, thank you so much...looking forward to seeing you soon. Absolutely fantastic B&B worth every one of its 5 stars. We stayed for our wedding anniversary at the beginning of July in the Avignon Suite which was absolutely beautiful. The breakfasts are with out doubt the best we have tasted and we had the pleasure of dinner on the Sunday evening which was also excellent. Lori & Dave (not forgetting Shula) are brilliant hosts who ensure that your every need is catered for. Overall we had a 6 star experience and we will be back. (Sharon & Malc)

It was lovely of you to spend your Anniversary here at The Old Town Hall, and also to leave us such an amazing review....we have just been reassessed by Visit Britain and managed to secure our 5 Stars with a Gold Award and Breakfast Award, but didn't manage 6 stars I'm afraid!! Thank you for your kind comments, and we hope to see you again soon. Lorri, Dave & Shula x

Well, it would be interesting to submit the first negative review of the Old Town Hall -- interesting, but impossible. We've visited many B and B's around the UK, but this is our favourite. The rooms are lovely, the location superb, and the breakfasts are the best I've eaten anywhere -- Dave and Lorri, as well as being very engaging hosts, are perfectionists and don't compromise. They also have a delightful, and very well-behaved, dog. Our most recent visit -- our third -- was for some post-daughter's-wedding r&r , and it did the trick. We will be back -- if, that is, we can get in, now that there are all these amazing reviews on tripadvisor. Maybe I should have submitted a negative one after all, just to keep the bookings down...

So kind of you to post such a lovely review, and Shula is very impressed with your kind words....if only our guests could see her down the fields in 'pheasant' mode, not quite the little sweetheart she portrays in the house! It's as if a switch has been flicked, and nothing and nobody can distract from her feathered friends. It's always a pleasure having you both to stay, and looking forward to seeing you both soon. Thanks again, Lorri, Dave & Crazy Dog Shula!

Firstly our apologies for the delay in posting this but your guest house is too special not to mention. We stayed with you early May but wanted to say thank you for making our wedding anniversary special from the moment we stepped foot in to leaving we were made to feel welcome. There is nothing we can say that has not been said before everything was perfect. Look forward to seeing you again. Barry & Lynn
