“A Beautiful place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2010

Raheen woods has everything. I travel quite a bit as a travelling art promoter and this is one of my favourite places to stay. Even though I see clients throughout the Galway region I always stay at the Raheen even if it means I have to do a fair bit of driving. Its so relaxing. For me Raheen Woods has a lovely ambience, it is luxurious yet not overly priced. The staff are courteous and professional. It is owner built and this manifests in how well the hotel is kept. I'm a business traveller and its great for me. However, this hotel has a gym, swimming pool and even a kiddies club. And of course a bar, restaurant etc. I wouild recomend it to everyone! Oh, and importantly, the rooms are generiously proportioned

Stayed in Raheen Woods for a wedding. The staff were friendly and professional, and made us feel most welcome. The rooms are quite spacious, with a little balcony area. The food was great as was the wellness centre.

It's about a 5 minute walk into the village, but not particularly easy to find from the village..There is free parking, including underground parking/

We arrived at the hotel on Friday evening & left after breakfast on the Monday. The hotel is very nice & all the staff are very friendly. Once we checked in at reception we went to our room, The room was very cosy & had a balcony. The first night we ate at the bar & the food was very good. We asked for an extra duvet the following morning & we got for that night as the room was a little cold at night. There was also a leisure centre at the hotel, This was very nice also. There was a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room. Breakfast at the hotel was a Buffet & if yiu want a full Irish Breakfast you order this with the waiter. We arrived for breakfast early every morning, and there was very few Croissants on display, We had asked for more & were told that was all that was left. Other than that everything was lovely.
We will definitely return. There is also a Train station at the back of the Hotel & brings you into Eyre Square in Galway City we thought €11.00 return each was a bit expensive. So we drove instead & parked in an underground car park in Galway City for €9.00 for the day.
Galway City was lovely & the people are so friendly.

We arrived at the Hotel to find we were a day early for our check in. We were made feel more then welcome and front of house upgraded us to a Junior suite to ease the 'shock' even though we were a day a head of ourselves.

The rooms are fantastic, fresh, clean and airy. Quilts on the beds, lovely decor and lovely country views from the balcony.

The Restaurant was not open while we were there but if the bar food is anything to go by ,the Restaurant food will be amazing. The service is top of the range.

The staff are so friendly, we were made fell right at home and nothing was to much trouble.
The bar Manager always had a cheery word and gave us a tour of the hotel including the conference room which was out of this world fro any business meettings...
The receptionist always had a bright smile and made us feel so important. We were treated like people, all the staff asked many times could they do anything for us.. were we having a nice time . Its the first place we have stayed where we felt the staff actually cared and took a personal interest. Its obvious there is a great team of staff and management working in the Hotel and they enjoy their jobs which makes it such a pleasurable experience.

When we mentioned on our last nite that we had recently got engaged we were offered a complimantary upgrade to the Presiential suite. Which made a special occassion truely memorable.

The pool and spa facilities are lovely, there are great deals on treatments its a perfect get away haven for some real TLC and rest and relaxation.

We are delighted to have found our Haven, and to have had such a wonderful experience. We will be back again and have already recommended a stay to family and friends. Fantastic.. we cannot wait to go back :)

We stayed here for a weekend back in July. The room was lovely - bright, clean & everything worked i.e hairdryer
The meal we had was lovely. The soup was homemade. The beef was tender and the veg tasted of veg and was cooked correctly. We could have had 2 desserts. They were lovely. The bar was cosy and the music was great.
we would recommend this hotel. It should be a 4 star hotel when you compare it to other hotels out there
