Non pretentious. The proprietor works hard to provide a good selection of coffees and snacks at reasonable prices. The level of clientele present confirms that he is succeeding in building up a reasonable trade.

Great coffee and the owner is very friendly and pleasant, the cakes are nearly all home baked and delicious, have been in here with just friends and also with friends and kids and they're very tolerant of young children! Very relaxed, you can sit and read the paper over your coffee and the food is good too!

I have eaten in the Town House Cafe on several occasions. It is a bright, spacious cafe with good service and friendly staff. There are usually free newspapers available to read. The all day breakfast is excellent. The rashers and sausages are grilled, not fried. It also does good value daily specials.

On the way from Mayo to Tipp we needed to find a good spot for a coffee break. A friends had been talking about the Town Cafe in Athenry and as we would pass within a few miles of it we decided to call in.
Interesting pictures hanging on the walls, clean spacious surroundings, great coffee and scones made that morning.
Friendly owner, interested in his customers and their views - tremendous value. If you get the chance you should make the effort.

I stopped here for a full Irish breakfast recently. The cafe is comfortable, nicely decorated and has a lot of newspapers and books for you to browse through while you have a drink or meal. My breakfast and coffee were delicious and well cooked. My only complaint is that I think it was slightly overpriced as I've eaten food of a similar standard for less.

The cafe has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and a good range of options on the menu. It also seems like somewhere welcoming for those with children and babies as there is a kids menu and space for buggies.
