“Fantastic”
Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

First visit to the Nook last Tuesday. Very welcoming atmosphere, really tasty food. I only wish I wasn't just passing through. The crepes were divine. I'd be in here every day if I lived in Athenry - alas it's back to the UK for me...

“One of our favorite spots in Ireland”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

We just loved our experience at the Nook. Julie is a wonderful host and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The place is truly a nook, very small and the seating is eclectic to say the least. We immediately fell into conversation with the other customers, all locals from Athenry. One woman had stopped by to show her egg cups that she had decorated and was selling mounted in a little wooden cabinet. Another family included the principal of the local school and his wife and kid who were on the way to the butcher down the street. Crepes are the main event and we had sweet with lemon and butter sauce, just delicious. Plenty of savory choices as well. Don't miss this terrific little spot.

“Delicious Food Served with a Warm Smile”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Wow! What a great surprise. This tiny little restaurant served up delicious crepes with a hug heaping of warm Irish hospitality. All the ingredients are locally sourced and are as fresh as fresh can be. Sweet or savory crepes are made to order--I enjoyed the Vegetarian Crepe stuffed full of delicious vegetables and cheeses. Relishes and jams are made on premise. A true gem--I would highly recommend for breakfast.

“An absolute delight!!”
Reviewed April 25, 2013 via mobile

From the second you walk in to the nook you are met with warm smiles, sweet aromas and relaxing music playing away in the background. The overall mood and atmosphere is very relaxed and says simply 'Sit down and enjoy!' The food is divine and (most of it being locally sourced) represents what Athenry really has to offer. To all music lovers, playing the guitar and starting a session is welcomed warmly! If you are ever in Athenry, this must be on your list!

“A little treasure!”
Reviewed March 5, 2013 via mobile

What cam I say? Was delighted to see the tripadvisor logo at the entrance to this little cafe. Absolutely brimming with atmosphere and delighted to notice both young and older people mingling in The Nook. The treasure is the owner who always brightens the day no matter what's goin on in the world outside. Definitely worth a visit if in the area only the best ingredients in the superb food and lots of craftwork to be admired too. Well done Julie:-)
