I took my dad here for lunch. It was a beautiful day and the food was delicious. This location is not only appealing to the eye but you can feel the wonderful breeze from the sea while sitting at the picnic tables outside. There were several delicious local healthy choices of food including red snapper, marlin and dolphin along with local cassava, salads, pork, sweet potato pie, green banana cou cou......I ordered the fried red snapper and a tossed salad and my dad ordered the sweet potato pie with the fried red snapper. Our meals were less than us$20. Both delicious choices. We ate by the beach with an amazing beautiful background of the waves. Definitely a place to visit again.

This place is always on our list when visiting Barbados. We enjoy the rum shop atmosphere and good seafood on Thursdays. This year, a new building was opened with the bar downstairs and food orders upstairs. After a 2 hour wait in line, we finally got to order our meal. A few items were sold out, but we emerged with our food after another 20 minute wait for it to be loaded into the takeout containers. The original establishment, while smaller, had a system where food was ordered, a number assigned and announced when the food was ready. This gave you time to sit, have a drink, enjoy the view. It would be much more enjoyable if this system was in place in the new tavern!

For sure service is king. Some friends and I decided to go here for some fish. A mutual friend was visiting from Canada and really wanted to come back since her last visit a couple yrs ago. After a day of errands and delays we FINALLY made it. We ordered a rou d of beers and proceeded upstairs to order the snapper for which we were so looking forward....to be informed "kitchen closed, food done today". Shock, disbelief, disappointment and no end of emotions running through our minds.
As we finished our beers the owner comes over and says the kitchen will be reopened for us since we came this whole way. What a guy. What a place. I will definitely say come here if you are in Barbados and want a feel of true country life. Even Bajans who appreciate good service. Place is excellent.
By the way, did I mention how good the food is.....??? And the view is so worth it☺

Wonderful setting in modern building with plenty of outside seating. Locals eat here and so should visitors! Great value with a huge choice of fried and pickled fish. Delicious side orders. Bar downstairs for drinks. The place to stop on the east coast to eat with a sea view.

Visiting the places for a long while. This was the first time I was in the new place, few hundreds metres from the old one.
Food is basically the same simple Barbadian grub, great for a snack in the middle of the day.
The setting is nice and modern, but, may be for good memories, still prefer the old Bay Tavern with the seating on the shore...
