“Excellent cottage”
Reviewed November 1, 2016 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed in this cottage for one week in June 2015. The cottage is in a relaxing rural setting, it is bright, attractive and comfortable. There is a fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining/living room with doors out to the patio, where you can sit out and have breakfast, you may even get a visit from Dexter. The bedrooms were large and cosy, we could not ask for anything more, Carrie and Anthony were on hand if you needed anything.

The cottage is in an ideal location for visiting various places, we drove from Peterhead to Elgin and everywhere in between. We had Cullen Skink in Cullen, climbed up a lighthouse in Peterhead, saw the 'Coo' in Turriff and visited the aquarium in MacDuff. There is plenty to do within the area, but also nice just to sit on the patio with a book and a glass of wine.

Overall we had a great holiday at this cottage and would definitely recommend it to others. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the homemade shortbread was delicious.

“A fantastic return!”
Reviewed August 28, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We have been to Garden Cottage many times now over the last 8 years and it is simply the best there is. Anthony and Carrie always make us feel so welcome, and it is like a home from home. The location is perfect as a base to see what the area has to offer, and if you have never been to this part of Scotland I strongly urge you to visit. There is so much to see and do that unfortunately a week just isn't long enough! Already looking forward to our next visit!

“Superb Cottage”
Reviewed August 21, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We have rented many cottages over many years and this must be one of the top 2 or 3 we have rented. The cottage is very clean, comfortable and roomy and has everything to help make your holiday as easy as possible. There is a basket with teas, milk, biscuits etc for you on arrival and plenty of cleaning materials saving the bother of having to take them with you or going and buying. We stayed for 2 weeks and did something new almost every day - the position is great. Saying that we only had 2-3 bad days so were out and about enjoying the sunshine.
The owners are there to welcome you and on hand if need be and certainly most welcoming.

“Fantastic week”
Reviewed August 1, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Just back from our weeks stay. Cottage was perfect, lovely and clean. Anthony, Carrie and Dexter were very welcoming and we really enjoyed the tranquility especially after a busy day exploring. The welcome basket was lovely, the shortbread was delicious. There is a large garden at the front of the cottage which is perfect for playing on. It was really all we hoped for and more.

We wanted somewhere in the Aberdeenshire area, close to the beaches and NTS properties. This cottage had all the amenities we wanted plus was situated in a quiet wooded valley. We have a dog, so needed a garden and somewhere to walk safely. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. The welcome basket was very generous and we were well looked after by the owners. Good for families, older people ,dogs and for those in wheel chairs.

“Fantastic cottage”
Reviewed November 6, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We've visited Scotland many times now previously stopping at Fort William, Inverness, Moffat, Aviemore to name just a few and this is the first time visit to north Aberdeenshire. Garden Cottage is near Turriff which is a lovely little town with local shops and eateries.
Garden Cottage itself is one of the best cottages we have visited, log burner, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a fantastic stocked kitchen with both utensil, crockery and food essentials like Tea, coffee, bread, milk butter etc.... The cottage was really clean and all fuel and logs were included in the very reasonable rental cost for the week. We also received a lovely warm welcome from Anthony and Carrie and their dog Harvey!
Garden Cottage is located on a farm and has some fantastic walks - we brought our two dogs with us and they were in their element with lots of walkies!!!
Would we return - definitely definitely YES.....we loved it. However, if you are looking for a holiday cottage located within waking distance of amenities then Garden Cottage isn't for you - Banff (with fantastic beach) and Turriff are both approximately 20 minutes drive away.

“The place to go”
Reviewed June 10, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

This wonderful cottage has been our holiday venue for many years and we will be back this summer also. It ticks all the boxes for a place to have a relaxing holiday. The cottage is superb and Tony and Carrie are wonderful hosts. The cottage makes a perfect base for making best use of all that the north east of Scotland has to offer. If you like golf I would recommend Turriff, Fraserburgh and the MacDonald Course in Ellon. 3 great courses who welcome visitors. As a family we also have had a great time exploring the history of the north east of Scotland and there are many activities to keep kids amused that are within easy reach.
A stay at Garden Cottage is complete when Harvey appears - he likes fed does Harvey !!

Cannot recommend this beautiful cottage highly enough, 10 out of 10 every time.
