One of my favourite places to eat, although I don't get to go often. Great food and a fantastic atmosphere with very helpful and friendly staff. Particularly love the steak.

“hand cut chips with our venison burgers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

On route to vist the Victorian Christmas Fair at Delgatie castle we stopped for lunch here and despite the fact that the bistro was very busy we were shown to a table and had our orders taken immediately. The choice of 3 menus had something for all tastes(and pockets). Some what pricey for certain items our burgers were the best we have tasted... topped with Gruyere cheese and caramalised red onion, tomato, lettuce and pickled gerkhins. The hand cut chunky chips were cooked to perfection and accompanied by a fresh dressed salad. The attention to detail regarding service was quick and superb(down to replacing the knives with steak knives and offering free chilled tap water).

“excellent food, great value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

on a freezing cold Tuesday night a group o us went to visit this restaurant. The welcome was lovely and the place feels welcoming. The selection of food is great, but not overpowering. Most of us stuck with the special menu. Food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Staff were helpful, without being over the top. All in all great vaule for money and a lovely restaurant,

“Great meal , excellent value with a superb dessert.”

Because of a detour my colleague and i were late- by Turriff standards eating but were warmed up by a spicy Tomato Soup.
We both opted for fish and chips served with salad and hand cut chips and ' home made' tartare sauce.
My Chocolate Brownie Sundae whilst not worth dying for was the best i could ever remember.
Including drinks- less than £60 - excellent value.
Our host had playing a ' genius'
based on Stevie Wonder, the background music was great!

“Excellent yet again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

We returned here to enjoy yet again another really lovely lunch. My roast lunch was superb, my wife's mussels and salad were spot on, and the kids meals good enough for adults. The desserts were also very good. Service was polite and efficient. We plan to return.
