“Compliments to the Chef!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

An extensive varied menu offered a delicious range of food(the Chilean wine was fab too). We all tried something different and were not disappointed. My locally sourced fish was superb and all food was beautifully presented. The sticky toffee pudding came highly recommended and was one of the nicest I have ever tasted! Staff were very friendly and attentive and the comfy lounge area added to the warm homely feel of the place. Can't recommend the Fife Arms Hotel highly enough!

“Hidden gem in rural aberdeenshire”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Went with two other couples to try out the food as we had heard only good things about the place. When you walk in we were presented with a real log fire and comfy settees to relax in and have a drink before seated for the meal.
The restaurant area is great, as it still retains the traditional character of the building and area, and this comes across when you see the menu. Most of the dishes are locally sourced, and it shows.
The food came promptly and everything tasted fantastic. Good selection of beers and wine to accompany the meal as well. Service was friendly without being overbearing as well. Main reasons it rates 5 stars is quality of the food compared to price and the overall 'feel' of the place; welcoming and friendly.
This is how a great local restaurant should be. Class!

“Excellent local restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

We are a little short of quality eateries in parts of Aberdeenshire but this is a place worth seeking out. Quite a bit of seafood on the menu (posh scampi for a starter which is excellent) and very reasonable prices for both drinks and the food. The menu is varied and interesting without being over risky. We had langoustines and pheasant breast starters followed by seafood linguini and monkfish mains.

Very high and consistent standard from one of several visits. Recommended.
