“So much to do!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

What a fun place - so much to do, and something for every member of the family. We ran out of time to do everything, so will definitely be back with a picnic lunch to finish it off!

“A grand day out...”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

Now this was a good day out. We went with young ones (6 and 4) and a few oldies and everyone had a great time.

The place looks spectacular and the effort the owners have put in to how it looks have to be commended. The sculptured hedges in particular are very detailed and look great.

It was great to see that it wasn't just a few mazes with a kiosk - there's seven I think which are all different to each other. But it's not just the "standard" mazes, there are the puzzles as well. The rope maze was very popular and the tyre maze kept our 6 year old and his mum occupied for ages.

The slides are okay, not bad but nothing spectacular. The 3D maze definitely is not for kids who scare easily. We didn't go on the tree surfing, but it looked great.

What is lacking however are drinking fountains, perhaps a few signs with maps and a lack of disabled toilets (takes it down from five stars). It is on the side of a hill so I can imagine it would be a bit frustrating for disabled people or people with a pram and wouldn't recommend this place if you have anyone who can't/won't walk by themselves for at least 4 hours.

To those who complain about the entry fee, just take a moment to think about how much upkeep (translation: staff) is required to maintain the gardens, hedges and topiaries in the brilliant state they're in and also the maintenance, supervisors and insurance for the tree surfing. I can't imagine it's a cheap place to run.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

I took a day down at Arthurs Seat alone with my camera and had a really fantastic day. The mazes are a variety of Australian themes and some harder than others, there is a lovely kids maze with sweet statues of animal and faeries - a real excitement is always seen on the kids faces. The restaurant is average but that's not the main focus. The centre-way in between the range of mazes is beautifully lined with rose bushes and offers a sweeping view of this lovely landscape. Highly recommend this as a family day out, for couples to wander and solo peeps just to take in the solace.

“tree surfing is a winner”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We have been to this maze several times over the years and each year they have something new to keep the kids interested. Last year the tube slides were a fast, fun and fabulas new treat and this year it's the Tree Surfing. My 14 year old and his friend were not easy to impress but they spent 2 hours fully emersed in zip linning, high ropes and balancing on 5 different courses. Kids under this age must be accompanied by an adult and you have to wear covered shoes so come prepared. Of course the tube slides are still loads of fun and the sculptures, 3D maze and hedge mazes and terrific. A whole days fun with heaps of stuff for little kids too.
