Utilized the Stay and Bathe package again and the Peninsula Hot Springs coupons guarantees you entry into the Hot Springs, a big bonus if intending to visit over a weekend.

This time we registered with reception at 12 noon (we didn't expect it but they actually had our room ready for us) so we could pick up our coupons and spend the afternoon and early evening at the Hot Springs before coming back to our room to relax instead of driving home after the springs visit. The Springs are a comfortable 20 minute drive from the Resort.

Last time stayed in an premium ocean view room (Room 123) in October 2012, this time another premium ocean view but in one of the front accommodation blocks of rooms (Room 623). Block 1/2/3 are behind Blocks 4/5/6 fronting towards the sea. You get good views from both blocks but my preference would be for block 4/5/6. The premium ocean view rooms are upstairs and remain my preference as the standard ocean view rooms are downstairs and subject to noise from above rooms. For an extra $20 it is worth it.

This time I'm happy to say we had a lovely bedspread cover on the bed (which was missing last stay) and we found the room very well presented with plenty of tea/coffee making supplies and well stocked bar fridge, although we took our own drinks with us. Large shower and good individual toiletries supplied. Plenty of towels (4 bath towels), including 2 pool towels in the room, lots of information about local attractions and areas to visit. If you want bathrobes you need to request them from reception, preferably at checkin time.

The breakfast buffet was very good, relaxed setting overlooking the golf course and staff helpful and pleasant.

After our last experience of in room dining which wasn't the best, we thought we would give it another try, this time we ordered pizzas. How disappointing ..... the pizza bases were like the supermarket frozen type and while the toppings were ok they just slid off the horrible bases!!

What a shame the quality of their in room dining has not improved since our last stay. Maybe in summer we'd consider dining in the restaurant or use the bbq facilities, but in winter and a rainy night you might just want to be cosy in your room and have a decent dine in.

Hopefully management will do a mystery shopper dine in sometime!! We did fill out the survey form again and handed it in about our dine in experience again.

Room Tip: Last time stayed in an premium ocean view room (Room 123) in October 2012, this time another premium...

Thank you once again fo ryour feedback and I look forward to meeting you in the dining room sometime soon.

Warm regards

We had a lovely mid week stay. Great room with a view, friendly staff and fantastic resort facilities. Loved the spa and pool and the games room was great also. A great buffet breakfast to start your day also was included in our room rate. We would definitely stay here again.

Great for the price, beautiful views, great room. However, if you are a foodie...you'll be disappointed! Look, maybe the majority of people are happy with it, if you just want to fill a hole in your stomach...but in my opinion it really left a lot to be desired!!

The food on the nights we stayed was horrible, a tacky buffet with food that tasted and looked as if it had been sitting there a week...dried up rubbery looking eggs that had no flavour..a selection of dry meats for dinner. No freshly cooked meals!!

I was very disappointed...as I had been looking forward to a lovely meal cooked with beautiful flavours, you know the lovely locally produced gorgeous fresh food you can get from resorts around Victoria? (say Dalesford, the Yarra Valley etc.) But this place..nope! It was 'help yourself' pub quality to be honest, very mass produced (dry poached eggs sitting in a tub which you scoop out). They really need to sort that out and take advantage of how good they could be if they tried!

We only stayed one night, but will return for a longer stay soon.
The room was nice and clean, with a great view in the morning.
The restaurant was very nice, steak and fish cooked perfectly, wine not too dear, service excellent. Two courses and a couple of glasses for around $130, so good value.
Substantial, fresh buffet breakfast.
We would not hesitate to recommend.

Room Tip: Ocean View rooms are lovely

After visiting Western Europe and France in particular, I really feel accommodation here leaves more to be desired. The accommodation was very cold and clinical. It was clean and spacious but I had to call reception at 10:30pm regarding a whirring sound and a thud every 5 minutes. Reception said it might have been the wind or the aircon. It was neither and offered us another room. Who can be bothered moving at that time. I thanked them and said "no". The sound mysteriously disappeared. We booked one night's accommodation there so we could dine at the Terminus on Flinders restaurant. We had to pick a Thursday night because 2 nights must be booked for a Friday or Saturday night. It was the same with Quarters at Flinders. Perhaps it was because of the Queen's Birthday weekend. I am also not keen on little windy, wooden cottages. We had to drive to the main building to have our breakfast which should have had accommodation I think..

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are similar.

Really enjoyed the two nights I spent here. Beautiful view from premium ocean view room. Buffet breakfast was very nice. Thanks to Lee in the restaurant for being so warm and accommodation - she was a gem. Resort is very nice, the only area for improvement I would call out is the gym/entertainment area - the games room was a little outdated, however should not in any way be a deterrent. Rooms spotlessly clean and tastefully appointed in a minimalist fashion. Highly recommended.
