Heaven on earth............

When we arrived we had a traditional Maldivian welcome which was beautiful to see.
The rooms are very spacious and as we our children with us it was great for them to have space to play indoors. The bathrooms were massive with a plunge bath and rain shower. even a list of options for bath salts and more. We got a full range of Hermes products to use.

Breakfast was either a choice of buffet or A la carte which was the perfect start, they had fresh pastries, juices and of course the traditional egg as you like them. Lunch and dinner was just as amazing and we even had a private dinner set up one night by candle light.

Our butler Saeed was such a great help when it came to helping us entertain the kids and maintaining the excellent level of service we received during our stay. The snorkeling was amazing so take an underwater camera! We also went for a sunset cruise where again everything was just perfect, as we approached the reef we saw the dolphins jumping over the waves. What a great thing to see.
The swimming pool was always a lovely temperature and set looking out at the sea with the waves crashing against the rocks just below the infinity edge.
How could i forget about the spa. It was soooo relaxing. You lie on the massage bed looking through a glass panel on the floor with the sea below. I watched the beautiful colorful fish navigate through the rocks and past my looking glass. That alone was very relaxing enough to clear my mind.
I know I was on holiday but i couldn't help myself from taking a trip to the gym. The have got the latest equipment and a never ending view of the sea. What more could you ask for.

The resort shop has a beautiful range of exotic jewelry, bikinis, and other treats to indulge in and buy some souvenirs which is great for the ladies :@)
I couldn't find one fault with this resort and we'll definitely be visiting again.
Thanks to all the staff and management for such an amazing holiday, it's well worth the trek to this resort.
Can't wait to go back.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback on our resort. It always pleases us when guests take the time to write about their holiday, especially in your case as you visited up several months ago and still felt the urge to write 4 months later.

I am very pleased that you were able to enjoy some of our activities and excursions, the Sunset Cruise is such a special activity and rarely disappoints.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the resort very soon where you will no doubt notice some changes. Our over water resort, The Ocean Pearls is now open offering guests a truly unique experience staying on a villa perched on stilts 800 metres from the main island. We hope to see you and your family very soon.

Kind Regards,

Ernst Mayer, General Manager

We had our honey moon at the resort two weeks ago, after five days of staying, we felt so relaxed, and we really really do not want go back to the "real" world. We didn’t find too much review of this resort before we went, when we arrived, we realized here were only 38 (if i remember right) resorts in that island, so if you are looking for a exclusive place with breath taking views, you know you found in the right place. To makes our stay even more enjoyable, all the staff there are all very pleasent, the operational manager Chris is always there, very attentive to all the guests, we know we have been taking care of. Roger from the restaurant is one of the best/sincere waiter I have had. We even took the diving lesson at the resort, a little pricy, but defiantly made our stay more fun. We are very impressed with this hotel.

Room Tip: Definatly get the combo of stay at beach villa and ocean peral.

My husband and I visited Dhevanafushi in July 2011 to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary. This was our second trip to the Maldives.

Lying somewhere in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the resort may not be the easiest destination to get to, but it's definitely worth the trek. Coming from Dubai, it was two planes, a boat and a skip away. However, the tiring overnight journey was instantly forgotten on arrival.

We were first greeted by a warm welcome party before being whisked away by our personal butler to our beach front villa where a massage therapist was waiting to ease away the remaining angst from our journey. Shortly after, the head chef arrived so we could help him create our ideal menu for the next few meals (be it lobster curry and caviar or tuna pizza and a cheeseburger). We were then left to soak up the beauty of the Maldivian island...

The villas are extremely spacious (though they would have to be to comfortably fit the 3 metre beds!). The bathrooms are almost as big as the bedrooms (a girls' dream) and include walk-in wardrobes, a dressing table, big bathtub, and best of all, his and hers' Hermes toiletries. The villas each have a swimming pool and beach access and ours also had an outdoor eating area and separate TV room/living area.

The spa and gym are set in overwater villas with full length windows providing idyllic views as did our morning yoga session on the beach with the in-house instructor/personal trainer. Lounging at the communal pool was made even more pleasant with massage therapists at your service.

The friendly staff and in particular our butler were always at hand to tend to our whimsical requests including a daily shisha at sunset on the beach. In fact they were full of their own surprises: candle lit dinner on the beach, rose petal bath and even a framed photo from our wedding as an anniversary gift!

While the Maldives is the perfect backdrop for a sumptuous beach holiday, Jumeirah's unparalleled attention to detail and outstanding service is what made this holiday truly unforgettable.

To the Jumeirah team: thank you for spoiling us rotten and making our holiday so magical, we'll be back very soon!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback on Jumeirah Dhevanafushi. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your holiday to our Island and we thank you for choosing us as the special location to spend your fourth wedding anniversary.

We often tell our guests that part of the adventure is the journey and we are pleased that you agree with this statement and felt the hop, skip and jump over to our island was worth it. I am very glad that you were able to enjoy the welcome foot massage and also the consultation with our chef, both of these initiatives were developed to provide guests with a truly unique and personalised holiday experience, which I hope you were able to enjoy during your stay with us.

Once again, thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your comments on Trip Advisor. We look forward to welcoming you back to Jumeirah Dhevanafushi very soon.

Kind Regards,

After a long trip we arrived at Kaadedhdhoo airport and from there on a truly unique holiday started.

Our personal butler Jalal expected us and from this moment on we didn’t have to care about anything. Whatever it was, he arranged it. Jalal did a perfect job to make us feel well and comfortable for the whole two weeks.

We know some of the luxury resorts at the Maldives, and they all promise you a lot, but Jumeirah Dhevanafushi keeps all the promises:

Each of the staff has always a smile on his face, is helpful and polite and does his job with great expertise while giving you the feeling “I like what I do and I do it for you”. We felt pampered and blissful every single moment.

The breakfast buffet at Azara Restaurant is small but nice, of a well balanced variety, fresh and homemade. The menu completes the breakfast with tasty dishes from all over the world. The dinner menu offers you a choice of perfectly cooked meals for any taste. Like international cuisine on a truly high level, signature dishes from the Maldives, Indian curries, Wagyue beef and fresh fish from the grill and last but not least Asian cuisine. Should you have any special wishes (and we had some in these two weeks, believe me) just talk to chef Martin, souschef Franky or patissier Daniel. Whatever you ask for, you will get it to your taste.

The guys from the management were always present in a very pleasant way. Whether you looked for a little chat or you had a little problem: they were always there for you and let you feel the “spirit of the Jumeirah family”

The Island Revives are absolutely breathtaking. Interior design and technical equipment are of really high standards, the size is overwhelming but still cosy. The bathroom with the Hermes amenities will make every girl smile.

If you are looking for an outstanding holiday in a small luxury resort that leaves no wishes open together with an easy going atmosphere, a great cuisine and an untouched reef: go to Dhevanafushi. But alas, don’t forget the credit card….. but it is worth!

We have recently come back from a fantastic stay at Dhevanafushi. It was our second trip to the Maldives, but our first as a family (boys of 4 and 2), so we were a bit nervous how it would work out as a holiday destination.....all I can say is it was perfect.

Dhevanafushi is not really a family resort, but the quality of service was so good it felt like the best family resort in the world. All we had to do was call our personal butler Mamdu, who would immediately organise some child care (sand castles, lizard hunting, snorkelling lessons, water bombing, shell picking....you name it), leaving Sam and I to catch a few hours R&R or maybe a snorkel round the island.

Specifically here are some highlights:

1. The staff - under the supervision of island supremo Chris Ely the staff are top class: smart, smily, polite and so helpful

2. The villa - HUGE! The biggest bed I have ever slept in. All four of us could lay cross ways and we still fitted. The touches are class - great sunken bath, swimming pool, lounge and a 10m walk to the beach

3. The beach - Picture perfect postcard beach....Maldives at its best

4. Snorkelling - an unbelievable house reef: turtles, sharks, clown fish, eagle rays, tuna and stunning coral

5. SPA - Sam said it was amazing. You lie having a massage with a window below on to the reef watching Parrot fish clean the coral. Experienced staff and great treatments.

6. Lizard hunting - We caught loads and the kids loved it.

7. Island sunset cruise - We took the beautiful dhoni to our own private island for a picnic and to watch the sunset. On the way home we did a bit of reef fishing and caught 2 huge red snapper for dinner....great experience and delicious fish and chips.

8. Deep Sea Fishing - we caught Barracuda, Wahoo and Dorado and ate them all. The head chef prepared us the most delicious Maldivian Fish Curry we ate by candle light on the beach....this I will never forget.

9. The food - only one restaurant was open whilst we were there but the menu was varied and delicious, plus anything we wanted that wasnt on the menu they delivered anyway: pizzas, pancakes, curries

This place has set itself the target of being the best resort in the Maldives within a year....for me it already is. Forget Huvafen Fushi and Soneva Fushi....this is your spot for pure heaven.
