The legend says that when MARADONA arrive for the first time in Napoli, slept there.
Like a king !
This castle is too WOW!
Everything is cured in all the aspects, love the gold style everywhere that send u in the past and makes u feel in your kingdom.
- the staff is too Napolitan, and that’s made us so happy.
Friendly-available and always running!
Well done to the management.

First of all, I have to say the “hotel” is a beautiful place. Be warned, this is not really a hotel, it’s more like a banquet facility. We checked in mid week and we were told that the pool would be closed at 1:00 pm for a private function. Some of the grounds area were off limits to us as well. They were setting up for a outdoor wedding. After complaining, they moved us to a suite. Only problem..Loud music and loud people. Did I forget to mention that Italians like to have LOUD fireworks at the end of their parties? Horrible nights sleep. The next day, I asked reception if they had another party booked for the night. They said they did but they were not having fireworks. The pool was closed early again. Hotel allowed us to use the pool at their sister property which was ok at best. Got back to the hotel and noticed a guy setting up fireworks. I do speak some Italian and I asked the guy what time is he setting them off. He said around 9. He lied. It was 1:00 am. No sleep the second night. More loud music and people topped off with very loud fireworks. This is apparently the norm. I would suggest some of the positive reviews are people who were attending a party there and stayed overnight, so they would have no issues with noise and they would have complete access to the facility. Don’t be fooled by the high star rating. If you want a good nights sleep and a pool you can access, look elsewhere. Enclosed are 2 pictures. One is of the party area and one is of the fireworks guy setting up for the “9:00pm show”

On our "dream holiday", we chose this historic property as home for the Pompei portion. The villa style reflects a time gone by, elegant and well situated for viewing Mount Vesuvius in the morning and evening. Remember that this is Italy's oldest hotel in continuous use, this is not a modern boutique hotel. The staff brings dignity to the daily activities with personal services not found in most properties.

The dining is well done with an ambiance reflective of bygone days. The breakfast served is top tier.

You will not go wrong if you elect to stay with these fine people!

We came here as a couple with a baby for 2 nights. I must admit the hotel is special it was probably AMAZING 30 years ago but that's pretty much it. The hotel has a lot of history with famous people and the owner is a celebrity in the area. You can tell it was fine with a lot of love. The problem is that for guests who want to stay here now it's not ideal at all. The rooms have their charm but it's very old but clean. The staff is great BUT the major problem is that it's an event hotel. Specially for weddings so on both our night stay there where weddings.. .even if it was monday and Tuesday and it's loud. The restaurant area is closed and you have to eat at the breakfast hall that is small and not nice and with all the cereal and breakfast stuff out there...
What we did is take the dinner to our room and eat in the balcony but the music is still very loud. It is a nice setting overall with gardens and pool area which is very beautiful but not very useful as you have weddings and kids running around screaming all the time...
So if you want to experience a unique experience like no other you should try it out but if you want calm and quiet forget it!!!!
