Description: At the Michelin star and Repsol sun-awarded restaurant Marques de Riscal, exquisite dishes created by the prestigious Chef Francis Paniego can be tasted accompanied by some of the estate’s finest vintages. Its culinary excellence and superb levels of service have earned the restaurant a prestigious Michelin star and helped make it one of the hottest destinations in the region for gourmands. Located on the second floor of the hotel, the dining room is a masterful exercise in design. Wine aficionados will be drawn to the bespoke Frank Gehry-designed display wall containing a large selection of fine vintages from the Marqués de Riscal cellars as well as more than 200 international labels.

Staying at this property and saving dining at this restaurant to last was a super experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I will say however that although a tasting menu, the portions are bigger than should be for a taste, so you can get full easily. The service was top notch as was the setting, ambiance and view. Of course, the wines from this winery will end up in your wine stock when you return home!

First..The hotel...Frank Gehry is a genius...not to be missed if you are in the area. The restaurant offers a wonderful experience : great staff, professional and friendly and the menu (Gastronomic) is very original : traditional dishes revisited in a contemporary style, using only the best ingredients...I could have done without the "caviar de vino tinto y foie"...the rest was superb (artichokes, cigala, bacalao...) don't miss the herbs trolley for the herbal tea...a must after such a dinner. The winelist is of course incredible.

The 7 course dinner with wine pairings was an unbelievable experience. Highly recommended. The staff was knowledgable and friendly. The tables were spaced well apart for a nice semi-private experience.

The experience of the gastronomic restaurant was unique, because of its combination of very nice and modern cuisine with the wonderful wines of the winery. Instead of having a bottle of wine, we tasted 4 different glasses of wines with the food, which is a very good option.

Had set Torrea menu with "wine pairing". Whilst the food was delicious, we didn't understand the choice of wines or their servings:
The menu differed somewhat from that published outside the restaurant (that caused no problems) and consisted of a "snack" (very nice), a plate of 4 "tapas" (all wonderful), a carpaccio of prawns (out of this world), a sorbet/cold soup dish to cleanse the palate (again, out of this world), main fish dish (the hake was wonderful), dessert and petits fours...
Wonderful meal...but why were we served with firstly water, then a glass of the house Sauvignon Blanc. Left with no wine for the "tapas", then served with a glass of house white, limousin (barrel fermented), which was obviously much stronger for the prawn carpaccio. We then had to drink water (no replenishment offered) until a very heavy Marques de Riscal Gran Reserva arrived with the 5th course! This was too strong for the risotto and even more so for the main fish plate. No interaction with the sommelier (he was too busy elsewhere), meant that we drank water with the last 3 courses!
On leaving, the sommelier appeared and we made our thoughts known...just shrugged his shoulders and told us that everyone has different tastes and that it is impossible to please everyone!

VERY disappointing as the food is definitely upper one michelin star and food service is impeccable.

Would return, but will choose our own wine!
