This small hotel is opposite Padron station but that is a 15 minute walk from the historical centre.

Room was clean and comfortable though a little hot as no AC.

Dinner was very basic - ok for the Euro 9.50 if you just turn up and are too tired to walk into town. However, very poor for the Euros 20 charged by Portugal Walks if you book half board on the camino walking holiday.

Good simple breakfast.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Hotel Rosalia is quite a walk out of town so if you're look for something central this wouldn't be it. However, the people who work there are nice, there is a good cafe in the main floor, but it's across the street from a train station. That could be a good thing except the trains are really loud. They don't run all night by any means but trying to get to sleep early might be a problem. The rooms were quite small, felt a bit like jail, but the bed was fine and the bathroom was clean.

I stayed in this hotel with a friend during our Camino de Santiago walking holiday. The one positive with this hotel is that the room we stayed in was very roomy, clean etc and the balcony a definite added bonus. The hotel is located approx 10 min walk outside the town adjacant to the train line. We stayed on a half board basis and the one tip I would give anyone intending to stay here is to do so on a room-only basis (I can't stress this enough). The food served was the worst we had during our holiday. We had ordered fish as part of our main course and had to return it to the kitchen twice as it was clearly undercooked/raw in the center both times, in the end opting for a different choice. The staff did not apologise on either occasion as were more interested in a large group that arrived instead. Neither of us had dessert when it was served.. At breakfast the service was equally as bad - with service clearly a chore for the staff.

Right on the train tracks, this isn't exactly a premium location. It's a bit out of the pretty center. The staff in the restaurant could not have been nastier during breakfast service. Find someplace else in Padron.
