Bon Ami's is the Bloemendal in the valley, but on the same road. Although it does not have the views, it definitely has the atmosphere and can certainly be recommended. A pleasant Saturday business lunch that included a wine tasting lasted all of 5 hours! (No, we did not get sozzled!)
The wine tasting was elegantly done with lots of time in between tastings to absorb the different flavours and nuances. Our host was friendly and very informative. A very professional show indeed. The tasting is free if you buy a bottle or two of the very good, but reasonably priced wines.
The service in the restaurant was friendly, but our waiter was rather aloof and requires further training. Food was rather expensive and the cheese platter was pathetic, given the price charged. The sushi was good and well priced. The other other guests were also happy with their food which were well prepared. Presentation was good, but I would have liked a slightly wider choice.
The setting on the farm is accommodating and the right place to spend those lazy afternoons. Don't be in a hurry...
