This restaurant has been open for quite a while now, and we have avoided it as it is located where two "Indian" restaurants have opened and closed because they were really not very good at all. Good friends recommended that we give it a try.
The decor and ambiance is nice. The service is friendly and professional. The food was very good and very well priced. I had the R100 special for 3 courses. Potato samoosa's, the chicken bhunja and the sago pudding. My wife had the chicken rolls, chicken tikka marsala and halva. We shared a garlic & cheese naan. The food was very good.
My only complaint is that the food took very long to be served even though the restaurant was not busy at all.
We will be back.

My fiance and enjoyed a very memorable evening at the HIMALAYAN ASIAN. The curries were delicious and very well-priced. .A good wine list and coctail specials added to our experience. . The buy one get one free sushi was also great value for money. The authentic sushi chef does a great wotk of art.

We just can’t get enough of this restaurant! Stylish atmosphere, friendly waiters, amazing Indian food and sushi prepared with the utmost skill and passion. The uniqueness of having both Indian and Asian cuisines is truly a winning combination and provides the best of both worlds to customers. They currently have a great sushi special - Buy 1 get 1 free !! Sushi prices are very reasonable and curries are generous portions, fragrent and yummie. It has become our favourite Indian and Sushi destination in Cape Town.

I have been to this restaurant several times and each time the curry has been great and not to mention cheap! It's above the Durbanville Woolworths and set in an unnecessarily huge restaurant. The waiters are inexperienced, but so keen to please and have a job it makes up for any short comings. We love mon to thurs night when you get a free bottle of quite palatable wine when you order two we'll priced curries.

If you like Indian food and fancy trying someone new this is well worth a visit.

I just love Indian Cuisine, and this restaurant is right up my alley. One is greeted at the door and always escorted to the table. The wine list is extensive, and very reasonably priced. The selection of curries are mindblowing. It takes a bit of time to understand the waiters, because of their veru Indian pronunciation. But they are extremely helpful to assist with the selection. This review covers our last visit, but as the other visits, we have opted for a selection of different styles and variety of curries. We al then share the to have a "bit of everything" Ons warning, if yoy order hot, you get "hot". The lamb curries are fantastic, and I also enjoyed the Tandoori Chicken - ver generous portion. Really worth a visit!
