The glowing reports of previous guests had determined our choice of the Margarita..
On the positive side.. Reliable transfer arrangements to and from airport, location of the hotel itself, cleanliness of public areas including the pool, the food ..BUT .. I'm afraid to say that our own two weeks at the Margarita were not helped by a distinctly tense atmosphere involving M and F and spilling over into the rest of the staff. It felt as if personal relationship issues were rather more important than the needs of guests! The sudden departure of waiter Ozan amidst public recriminations was not exactly conducive to a relaxing stay. The excellent chef also seemed to depart at the same time. Clearly the experiences of others in earlier years have been different but I can only report that the regime seemed very slack - our own room not cleaned on three or four days and in any case was in need of a deep clean particularly in the bathroom, very little effort made to find out what we needed as part of our stay or even to enquire whether we were enjoying ourselves - and just obvious poor relationships between those who should be making their guests feel at ease. I can only hope that things sort themselves out so that a proper guest- focused style can be re-established. A great shame because we saw the potential of the Margarita as reflected in previous reviews and because we it was upsetting to have to witness such a poor set of working and personal relationships during the two weeks we were there..PS our last few days very much enhanced by the excellent company of Dom and Franzia! PPS Adrasan resort has beautiful location, fantastic swimming sea but for us the charm of the place was spoiled by too much litter and uncared for main beach PPPS the Paradise restaurant on the River is excellent as is Captain Mike's boat trips - also not to be missed the Friday fruit and vegetable market in Kumluca easily reached from outside the hotel via local bus

Room Tip: Rooms on the sea facing side are preferable especially those on the first floor

We stayed for 16 days at the Margarita hotel and were made to feel welcome from the start of our holiday,in fact by the end of our stay we felt like family members!A complete break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life was our main reason for choosing to holiday in Adrasan and we could'nt have chosen better,we had a truly relaxing break ,in beautiful surroundings, where nothing was too much trouble for Mehmet and Fatos. The meals we had here were 1st class and so we ate most of the time at the hotel. There are other bars and restaraunts within leisurely strolling distance if you fancy a wander.and others further afield which are well worth a visit. We had great fun cycling to different places on our hired bikes which Mehmet organised for us,and made many friends along the way.We would'nt hesitate to recommend this place and are planning on returning again this year.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, couple are bigger than others.

We are back in Vermont but wishing we were still in Turkey. Thank you for the wonderful time we spent with you in Adrasan at the margarita otel this past spring. It was hiking that attracted us to the Lycian Coast and it was better than we imagined. We loved the variety of the hikes, the long views, the Turquoise Coast and its climate, the high meadows, the fires at Chimera, the ruins at Olympus and the hike to the secluded beach. The views were spectacular. What a special corner of the world! We hope to come back and tackle Mount Olympus.

It's not just the hiking that we'll remember, though. The history of the Lycian Coast is fascinating and the people that occupy it now are genuinely friendly. The village of Adrasan is charming and the margarita otel is a beautiful and comfortable place to spend a vacation. We loved starting each morning with a Turkish breakfast beside the pool and we loved ending each day's hike with an Efes or two at one of the local cafes.

If you ever find yourself in our neck of the woods we'd be disappointed if you didn't stop for a visit. We'd love to show you some real snow.

Thanks. charles

A great location in an unspoilt area of Turkey. The owners Mehmet and Fatos made us very welcome. The hotel has 16 rooms which are of a very good standard. The healthy breakfast set us up for the days activities. There are some great walks on your doorstep should you want to venture further than the hotel pool. Second day back at work and still chilled out which says alot for the standard of holiday.

Room Tip: Room 108 has great views.

It is impossible to make any criticism of this hotel. It was immaculately clean, and you would see Mehmet and his wife Fatos working constantly to maintain standards. The food was excellent, the surroundings beautiful and the atmosphere tranquil. Mehmet was unfailing willing to assist with any issue or request for information - his usual answer to a problem was "I can help you with that". All the staff, including the waiter, were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and cannot wait to return. The cost is very reasonable, and I feel that the standard of service is of the highest. Moreover, Adrasan itself is a quiet and beautiful gem!

Mahmet and his family have created a wonderful atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. He is helped by his waiter / barman Orsan who was attentive, polite, friendly and professional. We simply loved our stay at the Margarita Hotel and would go back again to sample more delight of the area. If you want to relax then it's a must. The food at the hotel and in Adrasan is fresh and sumptuous. As mentioned above, transfers were perfectly organised and much better than the normal coach transfer. The locals in Adrasan are friendly and hospitable. For a trip we recommend Captain Mike's boat. His wife cooks the food for the day and it was delicious.

A fantastic holiday!!
