Since Stockholm hotels were so expensive, we took a shot at this Sollentuna hotel which we got for a very reasonable price and worked out great. Right beside the Sollentuna railway station and shopping center with other restaurants than the hotel restaurant nearby. After a couple of disappointing Scandic receptionists in other hotels it was so nice to meet a smiling, correct and well willing receptionist that we appreciated this so much although it should be a basic condition.
The room is okay, the bathroom nice. We missed an adjustable fan/heater/cooler in the room. Best part is that this hotel has been thinking of light in the bathroom: it is dimmable! Just too bad they decided on a too small shower door. Althought there is about two meters height available, the shower door is only about 1,80m. And has a metal bar over it. We, being over 1,80, had to bend to get into the shower. Now that felt a little primitive.
The pool and work out area were under reconstruction so unfortunately we could not test these.
The breakfast was nothing to be excited about. All the basics were there, but nothing more. The scrambled eggs were plain disgusting, looked like yoghurt.
All in all, if the price is right, it is definitely worth staying at this enjoyable hotel with smiling and well willing personel!More
