We only booked to stay at Lairds for two nights, and we were very sorry to have to leave. The accomodation and communal rooms are lovely, having a real English country house feel about it, with big cmfy sofas and big open fireplaces ( it got very chilly one of the days) The staff are extremely friendly and professional and their service could not be faulted. Breakfast was great and plenty of variety. We only dined one night at the lodge, wishing we'd dined both nights, as we could not fault the food and presentation. We recommend the shared table for dinner as its always nice to get to know other people, but you can have a private table as well.
My only moan (and its a tiny one) is that on arrival we were offered a glass of bubbles and some cake ( which was probably the best chocolate cake i've ever had) but on check out, I noticed we had been billed for the cake...something i'd thought was a welcome offering. But as I say, only something very very minor. We will definately include this lodge in any future travels along the Garden Route.More
