stayed 3 nights in this beautiful place and loved every minute of it. from the momemt we arrived till the moment we left we were just taken with the service. the lodges are beautiful and spacious with a lovely seating area and a log fire . also there was a decking area with a plunge pool outside which was just lovely. ate in zinzi first night which was beautiful. its a walk along from the lodge which is great for your first night. breakast was AMAZIING. home made granola to die for with an array of fruits cut up,cheeses, smoked salmon, breads, cakes yogurts, fruit puree's and a menu of the usual cooked breakfast. presentation was lovely and the same in zinzi..you could be in a restaurant in west end of london for less than half the price.we were recommended to go to Neisner but after driving for nearly two hours we realised it was Knysna we were looking for! what with the accent and the silent K we were totally mistaken. we then drove to plettenberg bay which is nice. beautiful views. Tsala is just stunning..saw a few baby monkeys in the grounds which is so cute. on leaving we were given in a wrapped bag 2 bottles of water and a bag of choc chip biscuits and also we are more than sure that our hired car had been washed. a stunning place out in the wilds but well worth it.

We stayed at the Tsala for two nights and were blown away by its architecture, service, suites and the view. Tsala stands for pure luxury, top class dining and very friendly service. The suites are amazing with an own pool, balcony, fireplace, outdoor shower and a loo with a view ;-) This hotel was the best accommodation we had during our ZA trip!

From walking to reception, to an actual suite nestled in the treetops, this is a beautifully presented hotel. An excellent place to spend two nights during our honeymoon (wished it could have been longer!).

We felt the staff were attentive and friendly.

Everything was spotless (aside from when we saw the monkeys turnover a breakfast table outside the reception - highly amusing!). The bed were extremely comfortable. When we came back from dinner on a chilly first night, we found the fire crackling and were happy to discover two hot water bottles in our bed. As it was our honeymoon, the staff had also left candles around the whole suite and a nice bottle of bubbly on ice. In the treetop lodge the effect was extremely romantic.

The rooms are spacious and the living room, slightly separated from the bedroom makes it feel even more like a little home away from home.

We found the wifi signal in the room to be very good and it was unlimited which is ideal in the modern age.

Breakfast was nice, plenty of fresh fruit to choose from. We also dined at Zinzi, which was really good and a few mins walk from the room.

This property is a delight and so professionally designed and run by excellent and dedicated staff.
No need is overlooked and we had sl cold and wet weather for 3 days when we visited and a lit log burner and a hot water bottle in the turned down bed was a wonderful surprise.
You have privacy and space in these beautiful villas and the walk to breakfast (and to the restaurant on site) is easy. With the darker nights in September we were able to enjoy the starlit sky.
Room service is prompt and the food as good as in the restaurant. We only ate at the hotel restaurant on site and were wowed by the presentation ,taste and quality and again the service is low key but appropriately attentive.
The breakfast is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach
We were sorry to leave this luxurious base from which we easily explored this beautiful area.
There is not a huge amount to entertain unless you love the outdoors as we do and the best quality souvenir shopping is to be found at Old Nick's just beyond Plett on the N2.
The Robberg Peninsula walks are beautiful though the longer ones require fitness and no fear of narrow walkways or heights. We did it in a full gale and it was spectacular though a little scary at times. We thought it was just as good as Storm River Mouth and the suspension bridge walk which was a little disappointing and very busy.(A better one is the Waterfall walk ,the other way up the coast from the rather small car park at Storms River Mouth).
This part of The Garden Route truly deserves the name which is more than can be said for Mossel Bay-> Wilderness. The latter is where is starts to improve from a scenic point of view.
Tsala is not to be missed( although we did miss the monkeys as it was too cold and far too windy for them to make an appearance).
If we are ever this way again we will make a point of returning as we found no fault with this wonderful hotel at all.

Room Tip: Villas are able to sleep 3 with a main bedroom and a small room off it with a single bed. The suite...

Stayed at Tsala for two nights staff, food, service, and location 100%. Lay in bed and look out on the forest with 180 dg window. They even wash your car for you. Very relaxing but not far from Plettinburg bay and its attractions. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Would highly reccommend the Tsala to everybody

We only had one night in this lodge, and that was by default, the hotel we booked closed for maintenance and put us up here. Wow it is fantastic. We were very warmly welcomed at the lodge and given lots of information of the area, but as it seemed so nice we did not leave the property for the night. Our chalet was up in the canopy of the forest with views to die for. The suite was luxury and homely together. A log stove was lit on our arrival so it warm. The bathroom.... well i can't keep saying amazing. We strolled around and around every corner there was something interesting. We came across an out side living room with a canvas covering and sat there while it rained. I never enjoyed the rain so much. The restaurant was marvelous too. The birds and sound of the night are all things i wont forget.

An exquisite holiday experience! Treetop lodge in the true sense with all rooms overlooking the dense and magical forest and valley. I happened to get a great deal directly from the hotel and travelled with my husband and another couple. We arrived at very late hours and were yet welcomed with the same enthusiasm, warmth and willingness to help and serve.
On entering the two bedroom villa we had opted for, we were simply awestruck. The place was beauuuutiful and had everything that we could have dreamt for a super luxurious and comfortable stay.
Every little detail that one could expect was taken care of from the welcoming fireplace to the hot water bags tucked in below our duvets on freezing nights to the inviting bath tubs, the outdoor showers overlooking the gorgeous valley, the seperate heaters in the bath area and not to forget the good night notes i really looked forward to reading before sleeping every night.
It all added a personal touch which was much appreciated.
Service too was impeccable considering the million demands we made specially when it came to dining as we were vegetarians. We even had the most scrumpotious breakfast served in the comfort and privacy of our own private villa where great efforts were made to ensure that the dishes remained hot even though it had to be brought to our room which was a long walk away from the main dining area.
The spread in the breakfast room was also lavish with a variety of cold cuts and fruits and cheeses and breads and pastries.
The food and ambience at the restaurant Zinzi were also mindblowing. So much so that we decided to skip stepping out on the second day and ordered late dinner from Zinzi in out villa.
I also took the opportunity to wake up early and explore the property on a morning walk which was indeed energising and refreshing.
A special mention also to the bar and library area which housed many fascinating books and ancient african artifacts.
The staff was also very helpful in designing our itinerary for the day and making bookings for adventure activities such as bungee and canopy tours etc. They seemed to get us a good deal for the same.

The only downside i would say is that the outdoor shower area of one of the rooms was infested with bees on the day we arrived. However i understand that it is something inevitable in a forested area like that and was infact well taken care of as soon as we informed housekeeping.
Also our private pool although inviting remained unused as the water was freezing. Maybe an option for heating could be explored.

In all a stunning property which i have already recommended to a bunch of people visiting SA this year.
