Where do I start our room was fantastic looking out on the beautiful Mediterranean sorrento to our left and ischia directly in the distance views to die for.All the staff were extremely helpful,Fracesco on the beach Pascquale Guisseppe and Valentino in the bar Roberto and all his staff in the restaurant. The hotel is a wonderful sanctuary from the hussle and bustle of the fantastic Sorrento a little gem!
I would without a doubt recommend this hotel to all types holiday makers the Amalfi drive Capri Vesuviuos Pompeii or just relax in this great hotel on the beach in the pool on the terrace or even a great massage and sauna
Please Giovanni Spina I congratulate you and all your staff for making my wife and my stay an absolute pleasure

Just back from this fantastic hotel. In fact can't seem to adjust to life back home, am missing it so much. Requested a room upgrade via email for my 50th birthday and Raffaelle on reception couldn't have been more helpful in sorting it, had lovely superior room with sea view (a view which I would never tire of). If other people take the time to talk to the staff on reception they are all very helpful and friendly. As for meal times, the choice and quality were second to none, all helped by the infamous Roberto, with his typical italian charm. On asking for some rose wine at my first lunchtime I was promptly presented with a whole bottle, what more could a girl ask. All the bar staff were great but special mention goes to Pasquale who some days runs the bar single handedly and always remembers what you ordered (champagne cocktails YUM!). Must also mention the lovely Francesco the beach attendant and lifeguard, welcomed us on our first day at the beach and consistently made sure we had bottles of water and drinks whilst we were sunbathing, even brought us ice creams in the afternoon.
Loved every minute of our stay, Amalfi coast is truly gorgeous and all the popular sight seeing venues can easily be done using the local buses and trains at a fraction of the cost by the tour operators.
Will definitely be back, still got so much more to see and do in the area and Mar Alimuri will be first choice to stay again.
Thanks to everyone there who made our holiday amazing, a week was just not enough.

Room Tip: If you want an upgrade just email the hotel direct and they will try and accomadate your request.

Just got back last week from an amazing 10 days staying at the Alimuri Hotel, as in previous reviews the staff were very helpful and friendly, special thanks to Pascale and Valentimo in the bar who went out of their way to assist and make your holiday as pleasurable as possible.
The food in the restaurant was very nice, with some nice touches regarding the variety of the "Ala Carte menus". The other half loved the "Rum Ba Ba, were as I enjoyed the Turamasu. The rooms were also very pleasant as we paid the extra for the "sea view" which was worth every penny as the sunsets were fantastic. The free shuttle bus into Sorrento was very easy to use, as the drivers have to be magicians to "drive" around the local roads. Although the hotel is situated on the beach, it's still quite easy to walk around into Meta once you navigate your way through the "tunnel", we actually followed the road back up into the "hills" that we came in from and were able to take some fantastic photos of the the Hotel, and and the surrounding areas including the bay of Naples. We booked the trip to Rome and although it rained all the way and back, at least the rain held off whilst we were in Rome. The Vatican and Colosseum are a must as the sheer size and history is awesome. Again we also did the Amalfi coast drive, again the drivers are amazing to be able to "pick" there way around the roads due to the traffic and narrow streets and roads. If you fancy the trip to Pompeii, just use the "local train services" as it's very easy although it can be crowded for the 20 mins. to Pompeii, and it only costs about 8 or 9 euros return, then it's just your entry fee of around 13 euros. We resisted the temptation to "hire" a guide and we just wandered around for about 2 and a half hours, again a fantastic bit of history to view if you like that sort of thing.
Many thanks to Wendy and Julie from Stockport whom we spent many a night chuckling at some of the tales they told us, hope you enjoyed the photos I sent on to you.
All in all, this was a fantastic holiday, and I'm sure we will return one day.

Room Tip: Ask for a "sea view" as the views are amaing

We are just back from this amazing lovely hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Roberto, the head waiter was so lovely, as werei the bar staff, Valentino, Pascal, Guisseppe and the wee lifeguard, Franko, who would bring you drinks, ice cream etc. Food an drink all great, Go to Capri and go up chairlift to the top or amazing views. All staff could not do enough for each and every guest. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Excellent, lovely staff.

Booked in feb and after reading reviews wasn't expecting anything special(talking reviews from before feb) had an amazing time room fab, food and drink fab, staff very friendly Roberto especially made my husbands holiday as he can't eat wheat and arranged for gluten free pasta at every meal. Bar and pool staff very attentive. Yes it is outside sorrento but no problems getting round as mini bus takes you many times a day, and even drop you off at meta station if ask or sorrento. Even a local bus if didn't want to use hotel shuttle. Meta a nice little place to walk round. Hotel decor was old like hotel but didn't need updating it added character. Couldn't fault had a great holiday and would definitely go back thank you Andrea & Robert x

We stayed at the Hotel Alimuri, just outside od Sorrento as part of a tour of the Amalfi Coast, and our only disappointment was that it was situated some 4km from Sorrento, which meant we were unable to explore on our own. That said, its beachside location was a plus. Our seaview room was large and well furnished, but the bizarre decore of ropes, shells and anchors on every surface was a bit much. Meals were good; we appreciated the vegetable buffet at dinner, though it should have been explained. Breakfast was also good. Staff quite friendly and efficient. Apart from the distance to Sorrento itself, the Alimuri was a pleasant hotel in which to stay.

We have both just returned from a week at this hotel where we spent a lovely honeymoon. We both had a fantastic time. The setting is breathtakingly beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly and very attentive. We never went short of good food and ask for a glass of wine and you'll get a bottle. The shuttle bus dropped us in and out of Sorrento when we fancied a change of scenery with no problem. The only thing we would say is that there is a lack of entertainment and things to do nearby if the weather isn't great as it is a bit off the beaten track... But this was more than compensated for by the friendliness of those working there and the whole ambience of the place. The room was immaculate...the maid did a great job. We had a junior suite for the week which was fabulous with a gorgeous sea view. Going to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing in was wonderful. Missing it already. Would definitely recommend this hotel!!
