“A beautiful luxury Trullo in the heart of Apulia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2014 for a stay in August 2013

We arrived at the Trullo Bellavista to wonderful weather and an excellent first impression of a beautifully restored traditional Apulian Trullo, in an established olive grove and fantastic pool. With 3 young buys the pool was very well used and with the high quality sun loungers and swing chairs we had plenty of room sunbathe, read and relax!
The Trullo itself is very well fitted and, with us being a family fo 5, we felt we had more than enough room with the lovely outside eating areas by the pool and to the side of the properties. Having the built in BBQ was also great when eating in. The property is not over looked in anyway and with the security and private gate, you feel safe and private.
The area itself is lovely for site-seeing with many different beautiful old towns within an easy drive including Locorotondo, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Ostuni, Monopoli to name a few. Further a field is Gallipoli and the beaches of the Adriatic and Ionian seas where the sea is lovely and warm and the waters clear (although not always sandy and very busy in August!).
You can eat out with pizza and traditional food being available in all the main towns and Locortondo has its fair share of good restaurants to suit all. The gelatirias are also worth a visit for those with a sweet tooth and love of ice cream
However if the weather is good and you are well stocked from the convenient supermarket which is but a two minutes drive away, then stay put and enjoy the property and pool!

“Fantastic Trullo Fantastic location”

We stayed for 2 weeks. One week with family the second by ourselves. The Trullo is well appointed and much thought has been given to the layout both inside and out. There is plenty of space to be together and to take your self away for a bit of peace and quiet. The garden is a constant surprise with figs, grapes, herbs ready to pick and eat. The pool is not your normal small pool but a lovely big one which you can spend time swimming off the previous nights meal.
We bought our food and wine from the local supermarket. Dont think Tesco think village shops under one roof. Also go to the local markets 5kg of tomatoes for 2€ and much more flavour than ours in the UK
There is an al forno which we got going. My son in law and husband made delicious pizzas and the most magnificent leg of lamb.
Wine is a must when in Puglia again dont think you need to buy expensive, the red wine in the plastic bottles is delicious.
The best thing about this location is that it is central a great base for exploring this beautiful part of Italy. Get there before the rest find it and it is no longer a secret paradise.

“Fantastic trullo - perfect piece of Puglian paradise!”

Gorgeous, spacious trullo down a private road just a few hundred metres from a well-stocked supermarket and only two kilometres from the town of Locotorondo. Had a beautiful week of sunshine relaxing by the private pool. Spectacular, large garden is full of grapes, figs and plants providing shade. There are three large seating/dining areas as well as superb hotel quality loungers and garden furniture. There is a traditional outdoor pizza oven and a built-in barbecue, a swinging lounger and two covered patio areas with seating to provide plenty of quiet shade.

The trullo itself has large beds, a large dining area and separate drawing room with integral mosquito gauzes on all of the windows and was very cool even without the air conditioning, which we did not find we needed at all, even in thirty degree heat.

A very friendly agent directed us personally to the trullo for a welcome where we were shown everything we needed and we were left with generous welcome items (tea, sugar, fresh juice) so that we could relax with a drink before heading to the supermarket.

The pool area is very large and is silent at night (and well lit) with a great opportunity to stargaze later at night. Very easy to find, only around 30m drive from Brindisi airport and 15m to the nicer parts of the beach south of Torre Canne. This property was a fantastic home away from home and we had everything we could have wanted in this beautiful trullo.
