We spent two nights in one of the two-bedroom apartments with Sotto Le Cummerse, and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. We saw two of the apartments actually, and both were newly renovated and wonderfully furnished. The apartment we were in also had a roof terrace which was great! As some other reviewers have noted, some of the rooms have smallish windows, but it seems like all the old buildings in the historic center are similarly built, so it's a function of the architectural style, not this place in particular. We also found the women in the office to be quite helpful and friendly (they helped us book bicycles from a nearby travel agency). This place was the highlight of our accommodations on our 10-day trip, and we'd gladly stay here again.

We did not know what a diffused housing consisted of before coming across this gem. We usually like to stay in the center of a city so that we can walk to dinner and other places. These 'rooms' were like small apts. or efficiencies at a very reasonable price. Besides our bedroom and bathroom we had a kitchenette and a dining table in the entry room area. Breakfast was a beverage and croissant around the corner at a separate location. The wifi was also in this place. We usually prefer to have wifi access in our room so this would be my only negative comment - and yet we did get along nicely without constant wifi access!

where to start. All lights were showing green for this rent: Tripadvisor, le routard, lonely planet... we expected a real good stay, considering the review and the price pay. In the end, it's a big disapointment, here's why:
- welcome? what a joke. We stayed for 2 nights and talked to 3 people at the agency. The first did not even bother say hello and get up to welcome us. It was an unpleasant moment and the flat she showed us was clearly in the continuity of our disapointment.
- location is fine, in the city centre of Locorotondo. The centro storico is quite cute, but that's barely all it's got. It's very calm (say dead) as soon as sun disappear. But the appartment we got was noisy. Noise starts back at 7.13am sharp, with neighbours talking and church bells ringing loudly. It's as if all that noise were right in your bedroom. Not that lovely.
- accommodation is poor, and far from the high standard we were expecting. Old cracking bed, old furnitures, horrible wall paintings (see by yourselves the frightening ducks above the head of the bed).
- there is absolutely no natural light in the flat we got. One small window, sure, but it was sealed off with wood boards. Lights were old yellow bulbs, and electricity overall was absolutely not approved by the EU Electricity Standards! The shower is old, badly furnished, and the cieling of the shower is raw cement. burk.
- somewhere, you might read it is a nice bed and breakfast place. Nice bed is a strong word I would surely not use myself (read my other reviews to see what I consider a good bedroom) but breakfast in this place is a pure joke. Please look at the picture I attach. 2 biscottis, 1 chocolate chunk, a tiny pot of industrial honey, and what? forget italian coffee or anything fresh. Ow, and would you REALLY want to eat a peace of this nice breakfast, you'll have to PAY for eat. 1€ for a biscotto. 1€ for a 2-year-old bleached Lipton teabag, and so on. At least we had a good laugh for free.

In the end, what? forget about this place. Or ask for a cooler apartment, with windows that can close to avoid morning noise, and open to bring light to this dark hole, and maybe a terrasse as I have read elsewhere. We did ask for another room, but the woman from the agency said it was fully booked. End of September, middle of the week, and from the way she said it, I could hardly believe her.

A really poor experience in this accomodation, at the end; the only one during our week in Puglia, which is definitely a fantastic region.

Room Tip: with terrasse, or sun in your room, and recently furnished. Maybe they have such room.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Our apartment is called Casa Bellavista. It is well-located and the view was ok, not as bellavista as one would imagined. The apartment had sufficient light as it is two floors and the ventilation was fine although it could get very warm at night. It is good that it had AC. The kitchen was relatively well-equipped. The staff especially Bianca was extremely helpful and friendly!

If there is something we were dissatisfied with was that the bathroom was on the first floor while the bedroom was on the second. As this is a historic building, the steps are wide apart and carved out of stone. In addition, the ceiling along the stairs are very low so you have to watch your step and your head at the same time. The bathroom entrance was also very low and of the 5 days, my 6 foot tall husband knocked his head 4 times entering the bathroom and I slipped on the steps one morning on my way to the bathroom. While I am thankful I broke no bones or hit my head against the stone steps but only sustained bruises on my hip and arm, I would not recommend this for anyone who is elderly and have problems with steps. We are a young couple and certainly think that mobility and agility are important to navigate this apartment, not to mention the narrow steps entering the building and then more narrow steps entering into the apartment which a tall person must remember to bend their heads entering.
The bathroom is also extremely tiny so the WC area gets wet whenever one takes a shower.

Other than this, we love the experience of staying in the old town and enjoying all the sounds and light. This is an extremely gentile hilltop town. Unlike many others, we did not have a car and got around fine. The staff picked us up from the train station that is about 15 min walk from the old city when we first arrived and dropped us off when we left. We visited Torre Canne with a local bus and took the train to Alberobello and Noci. Give yourself more time and get the train and bus schedule ahead of time with the help of the friendly staff and you will do fine without a car, even with little to no Italian. People are extremely helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Southern Italy is a little harder to get around on public transportation than Northern Italy but if you are up for an adventure, why not?

We spent eleven days travelling in south Italy and this was the only stay which disappointed us. There was no heating on - and no way to switch it on - although it was quite cool in early April, the lighting was quite inadequate and there was no cover on the duvet.

This is not a hotel, it is your own private house in the heart one of the most charming villages of Southern Italy. The houses are welcoming, comfortable, full of character, lovely furniture, traditional with a touch of fantasy. We had a great stay in an unusual period, November. It was quite and relaxing, fresh but not cold, full of light in the day and romantic atmosphere in the evening, with excellent restaurants at walking distance. Our favorites: 1) U'Curdunn (which means Locorotondo in local dialect; 2) Centro Storico; 3) La Taverna del Duca.

Don't miss this village, this hotel and these restaurants if you are looking for a unique and
authentic experience in the South of Italy, even in the cold season.

Room Tip: Just ask the reception, they have different little houses to offer, with different, unique features...

We stayed in Casa Degli Angeli. Good sleeping comfort in our apartment, but not much natural light. Clean and wellkept. The gazebo in the top floor with a view is a nice place to relax with lots of sunshine, plants and relaxing chairs. The opening hours of the reception were unpredictable and not to the promise.

Room Tip: We stayed in Casa Degli Angeli. The apartment was very dark, but had a nice upper gazebo on the top...
