Have been coming to this site for a long time. However have been disappointed over the recent bank holiday in May 2019. Second Toilet in ladies block door not closing. Insufficient toilet paper available over a busy weekend in ladies block. Also insufficient toilet paper men’s block. Shower areas flooding due to blocked drains with human hair. Access gate not working as it was impossible to close high security risk for a 4star facility. Unavailable staff contact on arrival at site to get gate security code. However gate was not secure. Small problems which could be rectified which in the past has been a very enjoyable small site with great facilities close to a glen river walk. We will return in June but it would be great if small problems could be sorted.

Hi Helen

Thank you for your recent review on Clare Glen Caravan Park. Sorry it's took so long to reply - I have been working on resolving some of the issues that you have mentioned in your review. The issue with the shower drains has been high lighted with staff and we aim to keep on top of this. These are new shower drains put in since our refurbish and the filter seems to be much smaller so they will need more regular checks.
The gate issue has now been resolved. The gate had dropped on one side making it difficult to open & close - this has now been rectified.
Helen regarding the issue of gaining the access security code for the gate, it states in our terms and conditions that all customers must contact reception on the day of their arrival to get the security code.Something to remember for the future.

Thank you again for highlighting such issues and we hope to see you again soon.

A little jaunt into Armagh. Staying near the town of Tandragee, famous for the Tayto Crisp. The campsite is nestled next to the River Cusher a mile outside of town, 20-30 minute walk. It is not a large site but well maintained. EHU and water is provided plus free WiFi There is a toilet/shower/laundry/slops block that is accessed by a key pad.
I would have give the site an excellent rating but for the showers, the disabled shower floor has been laid badly so it causes flooding in the shower room and also the main corridor. Apart from that little faux pas a site well worth visiting for the lovely river walks.

Quiet site, good local walks by the river next to the campsite. Close to Tandragee and Gosfor forest park. You can book online but remember to contact the leisure centre before it closes for the access code.

My second time staying in this fantastic site. The fact that it is open all year round is really credit to the local council and the people of Tandragee
Okay you have to open and close the gate yourself going in but hey it’s open !!!
Three vans staying there in January, showers toilets immaculate ,piping hot water ready to go ..
All pitches groomed and brushed clear of all debris
...
Wi-Fi badly needs a booster but we didn’t go to Northern Ireland for that ..
And three fantastic mountain bike centres all within less than one hour drive ..

I would have given 5 stars but for a couple of “minor” issues (you decide).
Lovely quiet woodland site with access to the Cusher river walks.
Nothing to do here but relax and enjoy the serenity and the squirrels running around.
Showers and toilets are immaculate with plenty of hot water etc.
The missing star is for the following issues.
(1) the entrance gate locking mechanism could be better, it doesn’t always lock and therefore leaves a nagging doubt in your mind if you’re leaving your outfit there to go exploring.
(2) the water pressure in the sinks is very high and splashes all over you when taps are pressed.
(3) the Slops, sluice, chemical disposal unit is not great with no running water to rinse your tank out or wash down the area before/after use.
Minor things which could be fixed easily.
