On the positive side this is a well located logis convenient for the lovely city of Troyes and as a stopping place en route to the south. The rooms are ok-pretty much what you might expect and the public rooms are fine-the restaurant is certainly a lovely room with glass enclosing the original beams. The food is also excellent. But and its a big but-the staff were not at all welcoming and every request seemed to be greeted with sighs and annoyed looks. Our meal was as I said very good but we have never been to a French restaurant where no aperitif was offered and where we were ignored for long periods of time.....when asking for coffee we were literally greeted with stony silence....and we had waited for around 25 minutes for that "service" whilst being entertained by the waitress busy remaking other empty tables around us. The breakfast was fine....possibly because it is totally self service. The lady who checked us out was I must say much friendlier so its not a universal issue at the hotel. It does make me think twice about choosing this hotel again.

Room Tip: Its on a busy road so ask for a room in the courtyard and definitely away from the road

We stayed over here when driving back from Geneva road show. We were running really late and the owner stayed up most of the night waiting for us to get back to ensure we had a place to sleep that night. The rooms were great and the whole hotel had a really beutique feel to it.
Highly recommend it, will be back if I'm driving past.

This is a nice hotel in a small French village with the most amazing market hall just across the road. Our twin room in the annexe was very comfy and the bathroom was spotless with a really good shower. We had dinner in the restaurant and for 18 Euros (as I write) is amazing value for money and fantastic quality. Maybe the wine list a bit expensive but it balances out with the meal as being good value. We didn't have breakfast as we think it a bit overpriced. We just got some croissants at the local bakery past the Hotel and on the right after the square.
The only other thing to note is that the Hotel is right on a busy main road with HGVs going through at all times of the day and night.

Room Tip: Get a room in the annexe at the back. Much quieter.

The hotel is in a classic french village with covered market. It is on a busy road but traffic noise was not a problem. The room was large and comfortable. Restaurant excellent, very good value and just like we remembered France before fast food took hold. Very little English spoken.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the road avoid any noise.

We chose this hotel as a stopping point between Provence and the channel ports. It was a good choice.
The room was very comfortable and the hotel has a good restaurant (though necessary to order by 8 30, and no other options seemed available in the town). I thought the wine was a bit marked up, but otherwise had no complaints. And the service was excellent.
The location is great, a quiet and pretty village easily accessed from the motorway and in an area of rich farmland and lakes.
All in all a good find.
