“the main photo is not of Point Leo, Victoria”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

There are no beach huts at Point Leo, or old houses in the background. This photo must be another beach on the Mornington Peninsula. I spent every Summer holiday at Point Leo on a non powered site for at least 20 years from the age of 1. Love the place. The beach ranges from shallow and calm to big surf. Lots of variety and a big reef to explore on foot or by snorkelling.

“A good surf beach. Busy and strong waves”
Reviewed January 19, 2012

The husband drove across from Rosebud to check this beach out the day before, only teens went in waves for a swim and wasn't to busy. Parking close to beach to with toilets and kiosk. A toll booth requires you to pay about $3 to $5 to go thru! haven't seen that before but if thats what it takes to take care of our beachs it's ok with me.
Next day was so busy and husband found a lot of surfers round at the point but managed to get a few waves.
Camping is cheap but I did not stay there looked good though.
Watch young ones closely in surf its strong and steepish does have life gaurds flags and on duty .
