“Learned a lot about "The Siege of Ladysmith"”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Spent a little time in this Museum which was very interesting and very cheap to enter (Pensioners Rate 5 Sar, I think it was) told you the local history of the Siege of Ladysmith, which was very well done and worth the visit. We did a private tour of these battle sites( conducted by a lady named Elizabeth , who really knew the history) and the knowledge learned from our visit to the Museum helped us understand better. Well worth the visit)

“Brilliant overview”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

The Ladysmith Siege Museum is one of the best overall Anglo-Boer War Museums in the country. I visit it often, with touring parties, and I have not yet had a bad response. The exhibitsand the dioramas are eye-catching, and presnets a good overall perspective of the freedom struggle of the Afrikaner, the Boer war in Natal, and especially the time in Ladysmith during the Siege. Good Stuff.....

“Tells full story”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

Excellent museum that tells the full story of the siege and relief of Ladysmith at the beginning of the last century. It also gives the history of the whole of the Anglo-Boer war. Well presented with many photos, newspaper cuttings and artefacts. Also descriptions for people in Ladysmith during the siege. Apparently, the cricket match still went on in spite of the pounding from the Long Tom gun
