“Incredible few days”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

Just returned from 3 night stay at Nambiti Hills. Our group included three children (aged 9, 13, and 15), a 25 yr old, a 40-something, a 50-something, and two 70-somethings... We were eight people in total with ages spanning 6 decades and we all had a great time! We were very happy with the facility, the people, and especially the game drives! We all love Norman! Food was excellent and plentiful. The breaks during the game drives were always fun. We saw incredible animals and had plenty of time to really sit, watch them, and start to understand their behaviors. Norman taught us not only about the animals (including the birds), but also about the flowers and trees, and gave some lessons on tracking. Even in January, the morning drives could be a little cold, but the afternoons and evenings were spectacular. I would highly recommend this lodge for a first time safari -- it was an excellent introduction to game viewing and an overall fantastic experience.

Room Tip: My understanding is that the Honeymoon Suite is spectacular. Note that the rooms are all in separate...

This was our first time in a game reserve and we thoroughly enjoyed it. On our arrival, the animals put on a welcome committee, so by the time we arrived at the lodge we had seen a wonderful selection of wild life which was totally oblivious to our existence. The highlight was the cheetah chasing and killing an impala. We were all so mesmerized that no-one made a video and we couldn't ask him to repeat it!!
Hospitality, food, staff, organization, accommodation, all impeccable. If we get the chance we will return. Thank you Chantal, Ross and Joe.

Immediately you arrive at Nambiti you know you are in for a first class experience. The whole team could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The actual game drives are great, our guide (Ross) was extremely knowledgeable, patient, couteous and nothing was too much trouble. We were lucky as we saw so much, lions, elephants, rhinos, and everything else, all at very close proximity. It was a pleasure to get up at 4.30 in the morning for the early drive! The food was also excellent, thanks to Bryce the chef and his team. This was my first safari and I really didn't want to leave, so many thanks to Brett, Chantal and the whole Nambiti Hills crew for making my stay so great. Loved it!

On our first visit in Nov 2011 we were booked in for 2 nights & returned for a 3rd night as we were so impressed. We have since been back in Dec 2012 and were not disappointed.
A trip to SA is not complete unless we spoil ourselves by staying at Nambiti Hills.
We recommend everything from the stylish rooms, delicious food, excellent service, amazing location and in particular "simply the best tracking & ranger teams" who on each visit have made our experience most enjoyable, exciting & memorable - Thanks Ross, Breandan, Joe, Tico & of course Norman who did it all!

“The five-star Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge offers intimate and luxurious accommodation in the midst of the spectacular African beauty of the Nambiti Game Reserve. It is a haven of sophistication surrounded by wild terrain. Perfect for anyone seeking both privacy and romance. Or simply time to reflect whilst searching for the Big Five or taking in the exquisite vistas from the quiet comfort of the lodge deck.”

I read this on the Namibiti Hills website and decided they have got it spot on.

This is one of the best reserves I have been to. We saw everything with the exception of Leopard which we then saw at the Cheetah sanctuary which is on the reserve. A thrilling time and the best guide I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with. He new everything about everything and would often stop the Land-rover to show us tracks and rare birds.

The lodge was nothing short of superb, with outstanding food and a very friendly chef who took his time explaining the options you had at breakfast and dinner. The staff were constantly looking out for our group and were exceptionally trained.

I would recommend this to anyone and I will be returning. Especially good for couples.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same with the exception of the honey moon suite. Each room is superb, we had two r...

My husband and I had the most amazing time at Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge. It felt like a second honeymoon. The attention to detail in everything they do doesn't go unnoticed and makes for such a relaxing stay. The people that work there are so kind and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious from the breakfasts to the afternoon snacks before you go on your evening game drive to the most incredible dinners. We loved it and will recommend it to all our friends.

The Nambiti hills private game lodge is all you would expect when visiting a game reserve and lodge in South Africa. There is a strong emphasis on private, from the fantasticly appointed rooms to the all caring staff. Situated in a malaria free are and having the big five and the small five, this game reserve has to be seen to believe the wide variety of biomes. From rich grasslands to craggy valleys and hills this reserve has it all. The game drives are top notch. Our game guide not only showed us the big five but also how the dung beetle finds it way around, to the grass seeds that walk.
What a pleasure to come back from the evening drive to a luxurious hot bath waiting for you in your room and then the fantastic meal that follows. If you want to see game, bath in luxury and be sure you wont catch malaria then Nambiti Hills is the place to go.

Room Tip: The best room must be the honeymoon suite if its not booked out.
