We live at the bottom of the hill and discovered this little gem of a restaurant 4 months after it opened. It was a Sunday lunchtime with only one other table occupied.Ten years later and you cannot get a table for Sunday lunch if you do not reserve. We have recommended it to many of our friends who have holiday homes here and they never fail to pay a visit when they are down.We were there last Friday evening and I have to say that Christian ( the chef) really excelled himself. The cuisine is so exciting, very unique in the way it is put together. Someone already mentioned his delightful wife,Noriko, she is always so welcoming, a big smile on her face at all times.

The atmosphere is so welcoming as you arrive & smell the food then greeted with friendly attentive staff. There are many interesting dishes cooked in their own style with Japanese influences such as beef tataki as well as a tasty steak or John Dory in Beer batter which is light & crispy tastes fresh from the sea.

In the Winter there is a woodburner making it cosy & warm or in the Summer a shady courtyard. We have been going for several years now & it is still our favourite restaurant where Christian & Noriko have worked hard at becoming established.

Do treat yourself & visit this lovely restaurant, it only gets better each time!

My wife and I ate here a couple of times having been really disappointed with what else was on offer in the area. Whilst the food isn't cheap it isn't much more than the likes of Venta Garcia but the food quality is miles better.

The menu is international with a couple of dishes of Japanese origin. Seafood cooked really well and some very good beef. Staff were very friendly. The restaurant does get busy, particularly at weekends so booking is advisable during busy times.

We visited with friends on Friday night. The service on arrival was friendly and we were offered our choice of tables. We have excellent starters the goats cheese and shallot tart was really good. The carnivores then all went for a variety of steaks and beef - all of which were beautiful. The only draw back was only one veggie option which doesnt change. However, the sides were also excellent. A very enjoyable meal.

Went here a few months ago and have meant to write a review since. Really interesting take on local cuisine, well executed and really friendly and welcoming given how busy it was! Will defo go back, we are regulars to the area and it will be one of our every time restaurants from now on!!
