Very interesting reading the history of the beaches and town. We visited in August, they had links and activities to the Canadian towns that took part in the invasion.

A beautiful and peaceful stretch of beach in. The Canadian memorial of the D-Day landing a poignant reminder of this coast lines history.

emotional and historical place to visit. Younger children enjoyed playing on the beach although weather not to brilliant.

I would recommend to go to Omaha instead. There was nothing to do here. Beaches were not the best, not so much people in the area and no activities.

All the Normandy beaches are stunning. This one was safe for our children to paddle in (it wasn't warm enough to swim!)
Lots of shells and a few rock pools at low tide.
The promenade (la digue) is great for cycling along on weekdays.
