This was my third visit to stay at Les Marguerites as I have watched its development from the early days of restoration to a thoroughly comfortable, luxurious and beautiful home and Chambres D’hote.
Arriving in October, we were blessed with warm weather and still able to enjoy sitting in the garden and getting to know the other guests. This time we had room 4 which was very spacious and with two comfortable easy chairs so that we could makes ourselves right at home.
This time we ventured to Rennes le Chateau and Carcassonne and my son was able to go to the Accro park, which is similar to Go ape in the UK. I also spent some time at the Angel sanctuary at the old Thermes building, which was a wonderful and peaceful setting to have a cup of tea and meet the artist who created the paintings there.
Breakfast is everything that others have described and more, and the dinners are full 3 course meals using locally sourced produce and lovingly cooked by Antoinette.
The beauty of Tables D’hote is that everyone eats together at a large table with Antoinette and Keith. I have enjoyed meeting some amazing people over dinner, with the conversation always flowing over Blanquette and a variety of local wines and foods.
I didn’t want to leave and plan to return as soon as possibleMore
