“Very Good Lunch Package”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

This is a new cafe with a refreshing clean white interior. Very different from the usual dimly lit cafes. I really enjoyed sitting on the second floor looking down at the people on the streets. I went there one day for lunch & I had a pleasant surprise.
I can't remember how much it cost but I think the package was really cheap (around RM10). There was a glass of iced lemon tea, tasty pumpkin soup to start, a main which was just the right size & s small pot of custard to finish.
The lunch package was well-priced & well-portioned out. It will satisfy an average man & give him a great sense of value. I would have been willing to pay more actually.
However, if you are looking for a great latte, don't go there. They make their lattes like normal coffee & serve it in a tall glass (around RM10). In the end, it tastes like a plain espresso shot + hot milk. At such a price, I'd expect a real barista to be preparing the coffee. Not a worker.

“Strange set up which is a shame.....”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

I visited for lunch with a colleague in June 2012. The food itself was very nice. I had meatballs with french fries. It was quite a struggle to get the french fries as the menu advertised the dish with mashed potato. Despite being told by staff and Manager that the side cannot be changed, the dish did arrive with french fries as I had requested.

We were refused a glass for a can of coca cola we had ordered! Apparently the cans are sold by the bakery and the glasses belong to the restaurant! It appears that there are 2 different businesses under one roof and the bakery side doesn't give out a glass with canned drinks! There were dozens of clean glasses visible on the shelf behind the counter!

In some ways a shame that they can't get the little things right, but also rather funny that the people working there do not appear to see that it is crazy to refuse someone a glass for their drink!

In other places in the world they would be out of business in 5 minutes but with such limited choice in Sibu for Western food in a clean air conditioned environment they will probably do well.
