RH Hotel
Ranked #7 of 11 Hotels in Sibu

My recent trip to Sibu, Sarawak has indeed most comfortable and welcoming by new, and clean RH Hotel which is situated right in the centre of the town. In my 3 nights stay, we really enjoy the wonderful environment for money well spent on room facilities and delicious food in the restaurant (free breakfast).
To all travellers who wish to go to Sibu for stay in this Hotel, I would like to recommend that you request for higher floor, preferrably from 10th floor upwards. If possible, please refrain from staying in room No. such as "1011" or "1111" as these rooms are facing the Lift. Rooms are well positioned and there is no blockage of views. A linked-bridge is built from the 1st floor of the Hotel so that it is accessible to the supermarket at Sanyan Building

One tip to those who need to use the "free Wifi", you are required to get two ID/passwords, from the Receptionist at the front counter, one for the ground lobby and the other one for the room.

Room Tip: Tip-preferrably choose room that face the main road over seeing the town and Rajang River.

Stayed here during last year and considering my review is 'rotten'. But anyway, i still insist to put some review about this hotel:

Check in & Check out: OK (The problem is most of the time the front desk and door staffs are showing their 'sour face', could be the reason that i'm local and i don't deserve the warmest greeting - Hopefully it's improve now)

Room: Stayed at deluxe room and the room is spacious.

Bed & Pillow: Comfortable

Bathroom: Clean & Spacious

Facilities: Outdoor swimming pool, Bistro Cafe & Hijau Lounge (Compared to front desk & door staffs, F&B staffs are more charming in assist you - thumbs up to Bistro Cafe & Hijau Lounge teams)

Location: The advantage of RH Hotel! It's really centralized to explore Sibu downtown. Less than a minute walk to Wisma Sanyan Mall (Tallest building in Sarawak) and Sibu Town Square (The biggest Square in Malaysia). Only 5 minutes walk to Sibu popular 'Night Market', Sibu Heritage Center, Cinema, etc etc. Everything is walking distant!

Check-in was swift & staff were very polite & helpful. This was a huge improvement compared to my earlier stay.

Booked a standard room through a travel agent. Really very basic & nothing to shout about. Was surprised to find that it has no mini fridge & no room slippers. Other than that, bed was comfy & had good night's sleep. Should book a Deluxe room, as I heard from another colleague that it was spacious & well-furnished.

Breakfast was really basic & quite bland with few choices. Banquet staff not smiling & looked grumpy.

Function room set-up was good, but banquet staff service was slow & needed prompting. Technician was very helpful though.

Still, RH Hotel remains as the best choice in Sibu.

Stayed for one night in this decent hotel. Spacious room, closet, bathroom. TV not LCD but ample choice of channels. There is an overhead bridge connecting the hotel to the mall so you can get whatever you need to get or simply shopping. I called for food room service, fast n polite staff. Food is alright n price is ok for a hotel. .
Satisfying.
This hotel need interior refurbishment soon, not because the rooms aren't comfy enough, but the carpet are getting dull n its time to get a flat screen tv. And being probably n suppose to be the best hotel in Sibu I think the hotel should have as basics to all rooms - bedroom slippers, complimentary food platter, more than just two pieces of towels, do throw in some small towels n hanky size ones. . .
The hotel is supposed to have a fitness centre as it says on the lift directory, but it does not, other than the pool.

The room size are pretty decent. We were given a corner adjoining room. Free wireless internet service but limited to two devices per room. Remember to ask for a code to access the internet service when you check in as they do not give it to you automatically (at least that was my experience). We did manage to get 3 codes for our room though.

The buffet breakfast is average. People from the West may find it weird that Asians eat pasta, rice, curry and etc for breakfast.

The hotel does not have a gym but it has a decent size pool. During our five days' stay at the hotel, we went to the pool three times and each time their towels were out. The hotel has a basement garage and you and your visitors can park for free. You may have difficulties in parking when there is a function in the hotel complex.

Room Tip: A corner room will be bigger. Ask for a room at higher floors to avoid noises as the hotel is situa...

Most visitors come from outstation would select this hotel. At town centre, by walk. Can go to supermarket like parkson city, town square, riverside & etc. If by car, easy to find places parking & more convenience. Good customers services.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large. Double bed.

Been staying here on and off for many years. Seen it's at the highest glory and seems like until today, it is still one of the favorite hotel in the small town of Sibu.

Room and bathroom is big, but due to the traffic of the guests here, the rooms things are getting a bit worn out. Lumpy pillows, old towels and a couch that smells of too many people using it. The door bell is not working too well as well and it gives of a toy gun kinda sound!

One things which really needs to be done is to have their windows clean. It is really a very nice view, but it has not been clean for a long time and the nice view is block.

However, the good side of it, the service and the food is good.
