This tastefully decorated and well equipped guesthouse, is located a bit out of Paternoster, so very quiet and tranquil. The rooms are very spacious and immaculately clean. The hosts go out of their way to make you at home and an ideal place to base yourself for exploring Paternoster attractions

We stayed here as Arnolds guest house was full (but did manage to get a seat at his chefs table, which is a definite must!), but as soon as we arrived we were delighted with our choice! The owners are lovely and were very helpful to me when I needed assistance with a very sore insect bite! Our room was gorgeous, the views are amazing and the price is so reasonable. Thanks a lot Marion, we had a lovely stay.. Just a shame it wasnt a few days longer!

This is a lovely B&B with really friendly owners. We stayed here for two nights during the world cup and had a really nice time, I would thoroughly recommend it.

A very special place to stay and enjoy the unspoiled West Coast. Farr Out is on its own up a hill just out of town with superb views down to the sea. Accomodation is very smart, well equiped and comfortable, each room having its own entrance and outside sitting area overlooking the facinating garden, pond and tepee brai. Breakfasts were excellent not just for the food but also talking to other guests and your hosts.Marion and Deon are warm, welcoming, fun and very helpful. Deon is also the local tourist guide and can organise trips as well as suggesting what you might like to do proving detailed information, with maps binoculars if wanted. Peternoster is a great place just to relax. Walk along the uncrowded beach. Watch the traditional fishermen land their catch from the small two man boats in the morning. Watch the sunset from one of the superb beach restaurants. Have a hot tub under the stars.A very special place to stay!

While the name of this guesthouse might suggest it being in the wilds of the West Coast, it is only a short drive or a decent walk into the beautiful town of Paternoster. The house itself is beautiful, about five years old and situated on a hill above the town. It has very lovely views.

Our room was on the upper level with it's own entrance and balcony. The room was comfortable and clean. The only downside from our point-of-view was that the weather was perfect, sunny and 30 degrees, and we would have loved a dip in a pool, but the garden has a fish pond in it instead of somewhere for a dip. The garden is beautiful and attracts a lot of bird-life so I would not criticise Deon and Marion's choice of the pond over pool, but on the day of our particular visit we would have loved to cool off.

As well as the pond the garden has a teepee with a firepit for enjoying a South African evening outside, and the quirky decorations stretch over every corner of the house and garden - from a crocodile by the pond to a skeleton in the breakfast / dining room.

The breakfast was very nice after a lovely night's sleep and this was a very comfortable place to stay in Paternoster.
