We have eaten here a couple of times..... its a fantastic location for early morning breakfast with stupendous views of the village, beach & fishing boats ..... the food is average but the service is just too laid back.....slow slow.

Definitely not haute cuisine but with better service i would rate is as good rather than average. Worth a visit for the view & nothing special food.

This place was horrific. We waited for ages to be served. The food was over priced and disgusting. We asked for a wedge of lemon. The waitress brought us a bowl with concentrated lemon juice in water because despite the kitchen having lemons they would not give us a lemon for our calamari. When we brought this to the managers attention, she didn't care. Amazing location, but that is all that is good about this place.

Skatkis never disappoints on the food-side, but was a bit disappointed that was told that they would take no bookings to find on arrival that a beautiful table free with a view over the bay was booked ... not sure why certain people get treated differently. Service was lovely, food tasty ... no complaints.

We went for dinner and had a very nice table overlooking the bay and beach, with a nice sea breeze coming through the open balcony. The wine menu was very reasonable as well as the food on the menu. We had snoek with an apricot and garlic butter sauce, a real West Coast treat. The portions were very big and definitely value for money. Desserts, coffee and liqueurs are available and enjoyed watching the sunset. They do not rush you to finish, you can take your time and enjoy the view, wine and food. We can strongly recommend this restaurant and return time and again.

What a great bunch of folks run this restaurant. We were dropped badly by one of the other restaurants in town and it was super busy. No tables were available and yet they found us one. The village had been swarmed by tourists throughout the day and you could tell that everyone was knackered. Smiles still appeared, food was brought in a timely fashion and the general vibe was one of " we care " thank you for that it's easy to forget that when it's busy. The home cooked down to earth seafood and " land eater " food was great. We'll done folks !!! We will be back
