“Hot tub under the stars....WOW”
Reviewed November 3, 2009 for a stay in October 2009

You really have to stay here to appreciate all its glory and first class renovation, I really dont think many people could achieve what Sherry and Irven have, there is honestly not a single thing to be faulted. We came here on recommendation but really did not expect the Hayloft to be so lovely. All the extra touches and attention to detail have made our holiday so special. Had some great days out but it was allways a pleasure to return "home" at the end of the day.We had a great evening in with the albums (the kids had never seen a turntable in action before....so funny). The hot tub under the stars...WOW ! Already booked to return in 2011

“Dreams and memories”
Reviewed October 26, 2009 for a stay in October 2009

We stayed in the Hayloft, the whole top floor of the converted barn. We were warmly welcomed and shown round the pure luxury accommodation we would be staying in for the next few days..we were totally speechless at the sheer beauty of the place. It felt like home from home but better. Every thought had gone into making our stay so welcoming, as awaiting on the table was a hamper of luxuries, wine, fruit and flowers. Also we were left home grown vegetables in a basket and dairy products in the amazing fridge. There are so many things to say about this place, but you really need to experience this for yourself.. A truly wonderfull place we will most definately be returning to. B & K Eaton

“Instant relaxation - totally fabulous!”
Reviewed June 13, 2009 for a stay in June 2009

From the moment we walked in we decided we would have to come back for a longer stay! My husband (who had been against a long weekend away) loved it so much on the Sunday he kept making excuses to stay longer. We particularly loved the bathroom, but really thought everything was perfect and very luxurious. As my hubbie is ex RAF we did a lot of travelling around the local area for all the museums etc, and we also saw the castles at Tattershall and Old Bollingbrook (the latter for a Civil war re-enactment). We left after three nights stay feeling like we had been away for a week. A definite recommendation for the hayloft.

“A must stay accommodation, again & again!”
Reviewed June 8, 2009 for a stay in May 2009

We first stumbled across The Manor House Stables on an internet search approximately 1 year ago (May 2008). As we lived only an hour away, we decided to take a drive to see if the images on the screen were matched by the property in the flesh.

We happened across the owner (we were being nosey close range), and she told us she was expecting her first customers that weekend, and graciously invited us in for a 'proper' look at the place she was obviously proud of. We were delighted to find that the screen images not only matched the property, they far surpassed what the lens can show. This was an amazing place to walk into. The attention to detail in every way was obvious from the outset, and this was matched by the owners delightful persona, a combination sure to put you at ease straight away. We left on a high from finding this true gem, and booked as soon as we got home.

We spent 4 days/3 nights of pure luxury. From the outset it was truly amazing. The welcome hamper, fresh flowers and welcome card from the owners. The fresh vegetables supplied. The robes and slippers. The toiletries. The attention to detail and the feel of being spoilt. We felt at 'home'. How can you not enjoy the choices of a copper spa bath, sauna or powershower with the radio on. Cooking meals became a pleasure. Relaxing on the sofa the same. And at the end of these days, a wonderfully comfortable bedroom to retire to. We completely fell in love with the place. With the feel.

We had the pleasure of booking both The Hayloft and The Bothy for our christmas break, and it was simply astounding. Christmas there was sheer bliss.

My comment in the guestbook says it all - "This is not a place you reccommend, this is a place you insist others visit and experience. All other accommodation is now judged against the benchmark that is The Manor House Stables, and it is a very highly set bar yet to be equalled.

“Be warned: You do not want to leave!”
Reviewed May 5, 2009 for a stay in April 2009

There is nothing really to add to the previous reviews as they sum up the place perfectly. We were treated to a 3 night break and also stayed in the Hayloft. It was amazing. The hosts, Sherry and Irven were charming. The hamper was gorgeous. It was an effort just to leave to explore Lincoln and the countryside. We have never been so clean as the majority of the stay was spent in the bath/shower/sauna!
It was a real gem of a hideaway and we will be returning and telling everyone we know about it.

“Shh, dont tell anyone”
Reviewed April 26, 2009 for a stay in December 2008

I almost do not want to review this place as the wonderful things that I have to say will make everyone want to stay there and then I will have trouble getting another booking, but it's such a great little secret to have I simply cannot keep it to myself!

I cannot praise the accommodation enough. Your every need is catered for, and not only to a basic level, but in style. It's like staying in your own private spa! The greeting was warm and friendly and the welcome basket made me smile so much that the lovely gentleman showing us round must have thought I was very strange!

I have stayed in a lot of cottages throughout the country and this one I have to say is my favourite. All that and it's all done in an eco friendly, so you get to bathe in a little goodness knowing that you are in your own little way helping the planet (even if that is done by sipping wine in the spa style bathroom or whilst gazing out on the local, beautiful scenery!)

“Fantastic accommodation with lovely personal touches.”
Reviewed March 11, 2009 for a stay in February 2009

We stayed twice in the Manor House Stables in rural Lincolnshire during February whilst we were house-hunting up there. We stumbled across their website whilst we were looking for somewhere to stay and were so glad that we did!

This place is an absolutely divine place to stay, either for a weekend romantic retreat or for a week whilst exploring the area. We stayed in the upstairs apartment, the 'Hayloft', which has an a separate bedroom with an en-suite, and an additional 'snug bed' in the lounge, suitable for another two guests. I think the sofa in the lounge was also a sofa bed so you could squeeze in six people (good friends!) at a push.

What we loved so much about this place is the obvious care and attention to detail given to by the owners Sherry and Irven. It has been beautifully converted with no expenses spared and there are so many personal touches. We were not wanting for anything during our stays here - the kitchen is fully equipped and on arrival you are welcomed by a lovely welcome hamper with all organic local food and vegetables. The hamper was easily enough to keep you going for a couple of days in the highly likely event that you wouldn't want to leave!

The lounge is cosy, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom..... well, again, attention to detail is exemplary. It has a lovely big copper jacuzzi (just big enough for two!), and a combined steam shower/one-person sauna too. On the bathroom ceiling are twinkling coloured lights like you get in some saunas. In fact it was so cosy and romantic that I proposed to my girlfriend there over a nice glass of wine on our first night!

I can't recommend this place enough! If we hadn't found our perfect place to live in Lincolnshire we would definitely be going back for more. As it is we will just have to visit our friends there when they come up to stay!
