Having read the positive reviews, I chose to eat at this village pub when visiting Woodhall Spa.
The steak and ale pie was fantastic, great flavours and you can tell it's homemade. The dish comes with two sides which came in small separate bowls which I thought was a good idea. The peas were slightly under-cooked for my liking, but the 'proper gravy' as they call it, was very nice.
Although I didn't have room for dessert, the menu looked wonderful - from chocolate brownies, to a range of ice cream, and apple crumble.
The interior is very homely, complete with a small bunch of flowers on each table.
I would return if visiting the area again.
