The town is picturesque and sleepy but the hotel is out of this world. The decor is immaculate, both respectful of the building's historical significance and elegantly modern. The rooms were lovely, with large cozy beds and fantastic high tech bathrooms. The dining here is truly a magical experience and the staff are unbelievably helpful. When we arrived everyone pitched in to welcome us, the bus boy was off so the chef took our luggage to our rooms. This is the kind of atmosphere you will find nowhere else, this helpful taking care of that goes beyond staff and becomes friend-like hospitality. In the heart of this all there is Laura, the concierge who is everywhere. She was bussing tables, bringing out morning coffee and receiving a shipment of fine wines for the cellar. We were so spoilt at Palazzo Righini, everywhere else we stayed on our tour of Italy and France seemed to be lacking that little extra something. We went out of our way to stay here twice for the service and the food were the best we encountered in Italy.

The moment we arrived at the Palazzo Righini we felt extremely welcomed and at ease. We had booked a Junior Suite and got a wonderful room, very modern behind historical walls. Our room rate included 1hr in the relax area which we booked for the next morning, in addition I booked a massage. All of that hasslefree. We did stroll through Fossano, a nice town, typical italian setting. As during winter most restaurants are closed, we decided to eat at the
Palazzo's Lounge La Corte. The food was excellent, so I would assume that als their gourmet place Antiche Volte must be fantastic. The Spa experience and massage were terrific, you have a private Spa with steam bath, sauna and Jacuzzi and nobody bothers you! Breakfast was very nice too, in Italy one usually does not find such a good selection. The staff was extremely friendly, from the moment I booked (got email with lots of information, driving directions etc) to checkin, service, and checkout. The most negative thing about our stay was, that we had to leave again.

We travel a lot, and I must say that this is the best service we ever had. The staff is really friendly and at your service. If you go there, you must really try the restaurant, the food is really good. But also the Lounge Bar restaurant is very good for a lunch or a drink. The small spa is cosy, but think of booking your spot in advance. We really enjoyed our stay, the only negative point would be city of location, as in the city, there's nothing to see or to do. But if you take the car, you are not far from all the important places to see. I highly recommend this beautiful palazzo!

Warm, romantic, top quality, friendly, but also private - this is our second time at the Palazzo and it is without doubt a wonderful retreat - couple, family or by yourself - it has all the hallmarks of Italian style and casual elegance. So too does this little town of Fossano - a walk on Sunday morning around the village with the glorious scenery is tonic to revive the soul in today's hectic pace.

Room Tip: They are lovely - don't expect a fabulous view - just soak in the comfort.

We stayed here on a stop off between Florence and France so were just looking for a nice place to put our heads down. This place was such a serendipity! The room was lovely, the food is tremendous, all staff welcoming. We had our very large dog with us and everyone really looked after him. Breakfast, which is included, had every possible permutation of yogurt, cereal, pastries, cheese, ham, juices and freshly prepared eggs to your request. Although we did not partake, I understand the spa is also fantastic. Love this place and will definitely stay here again if passing by!

We stayed at the Palazzo for a stop over en route from southern Italy back to the UK. This is a real gem of an hotel. An ancient building tastefully renovated and sympathetically decorated. B&B rates are very good considering the quality of the room and the excellence of the service. We opted for a meal in the restaurant which although not cheap was superb with quality local food and wine served by knowledgeable and attentive staff. If you are visiting this area it is worth a stop over and hard to imagine a better hotel.

Superb, sublime and delicious

Journeyed to the Palazzo in early June 2013 arriving from Milano. Yes, it is a bit hard to fine but once you do find it was worthier every wrong-way turn.

The Palazzo staff are clearly trained to be attentive without being presumptuous. Nothing was too difficult for them to achieve. From check-in to check-out, wait staff at the bar or in the restaurant – all very gracious and sincere. Wi-Fi worked well too. Superb!

We stayed in the large Suite with the walled-murals. The comfort and architectural features of the room were heavenly-inspired. Very comfortable with a bathroom sharing the stage with world-class amenities. Sublime!

Yes, the restaurant food was excellent, superbly served by amazingly cordial servers. The bar food too was very good. Breakfast served by someone who will remain secret (you’ll figure it out) was very good and filling. Delicious!

The Palazzo made a wonderful place to start and end our Piedmont vacation. It is very easy to tour the surrounds which we did from the coast back to the French mountain borders. I am very particular about hotels and the Palazzo was worth a visit and we’ll be back. If you are in the region, do stay.

Room Tip: The large suite was superb and if you want space this is the room.
