“The finest welcome ever”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Having had a delicious lunch in Juan les pins we thought we'd be back home in montreux within 6 hours but 75 kms short of Turin I was feeling tired so thought we'd look for somewhere interesting to stay the night with a good restaurant.
The best described hotel was the Palazzo,we called en route, they confirmed a rate immediately of 200 euros for a suite and asked us what time we'd like to eat dinner, great reception.
However, when we arrived we had the best welcome we've ever experienced in any hotel in the world, the receptionist showed us to our room and confirmed that our car would be parked securely overnight (which I wasn't charged for),well worth doing as the streets are narrow and parking is limited.
The room was extremely comfortable,I'm not sure whether any rooms have great views as the streets are so narrow. The bar is clearly the most popular place in town both evenings and from 8am in the morning where the smart locals meet for coffee. In the evening with each drink they delivered fabulous little plates of local meats/cheeses and tasty bits.Having enjoyed several glasses of excellent local white wine I would have been happy to retire to my room but we were booked in for dinner and the restaurant did not disappoint, the standard of the food and wines were superb.
Overall a very pleasant experience, good standard, willing and extremely competent staff at a very fair price,I will stay again.

I have stayed in many different hotels but whoever is running this operation deserves a standing ovation. The service is impeccable, the design of the rooms pleasing, full of character and details are seen to a T. The spa downstairs is reservable as your own private space and is an oasis of peace.
The restaurant was superb in the basement, again designed for comfort, privacy and aesthetics. THe meals were well served, the wine list extensive and the ambience pleasing. We were reluctant to leave. However- there is not much to do in the town. You could use this for a base of operations and go exploring to return to being pampered

Just perfect. We had no great reason to visit Fossano. It was the reviews of this hotel that prompted us to book here on our way through. This property is simply a magnificent destination all in itself. I have never, ever experienced a finer staff anywhere. Remarkable. I am at a loss for words, something my wife will attest does not happen often.

Me and my husband were traveling to the liguria region from the Alps and this was our unplanned stop. There is nothing much to say about Fossano, it is not the best İtalian city and it was deserted due to the August holiday when we were there. But this boutique hotel situated in the city center surprised us with its nice architecture, smartly decorated rooms and warm service. It even had a michelin star restaurant where we dined and enjoyed a lot. İt is a way superior quality hotel than most luxury italian hotels in the touristic regions. Recommend if ever in Fossano

Stayed here travelling down to Tuscany. The hotel, the food and especially the staff were all wonderful. The hotel combines charm, elegance and quality all wrapped in a comfortable friendly environment. What's more the value for money was extraordinary - almost too inexpensive! I will go out of my way to revisit.

My fiance and I were there for my best friend's wedding at a nearby vineyard; we used the Righini as our home base for the week, and we can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel... I've traveled quite a bit in Europe and internationally and I can say this was my best hotel experience in Europe! They just got it, from the feel of the room, to layout of the hotel, to the wonderful breakfast (no offense to the Old World, but a great breakfast can be a hard thing to find, at least from the American perspective). And to to top it off every single staff member always had a smile and a kind word, which goes a long way when traveling, whether its to a wedding in Italy or a back alley hostel in Bangkok. If you're in the Fossano region you must stay here!

We booked for one night at the last minute, looking for a place to " fill in" a night in Piemonte. What a spectacular experience all around. From arrival, when we were greeted by Valeria, who took charge of our car and helped us get settled in, to a really amazing dinner in the restaurant, we were completely charmed. Daniel, the sommelier, arranged lunch and wine tasting reservations for us for e next day. The hotel is a restored 14th century convent. The restoration brings beautiful modern design to an historic building. The room was not large but was beautifully decorated and had a fantastic bathroom. there is a lovely spa on site as well - the front desk staff will make an appointment for you to have exclusive use of the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. The town, as others have noted, has no major sites, but is well located for touring the region. We felt like the hotel was an incredible value for what we paid, and the meal was one of the best either of us has ever had (and we live in SF and go out all the time.).
