Did not recognise the hotel from the reviews. our bedroom was clean, and quite spacious, Beds comfortable, bathroom clean and a good size. My only minor moan, no teamaking facilites, and an extra pillow would be nice. Food was perfectly O.K,
. for the price we paid. bar could do with some background music. Staff were very nice, especially the barman. Vollander is very quiet, but koblenz is only 15 mins on a bus, which stop outside the hotel. Dispite being on the main road and opposite the railway, we had no real disturbance from either. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

What hotel did the previous reviewers go to?If we had gone with these reviews we would have missed this little gem of a hotel.
We spent Easter at this hotel, arriving around 9.30 pm. We were welcomed, given our keys and dropped off our bags.We then went down to the resturant, for our evening meal. As it was Good Friday, the meal consisted of Fish. Our friend is allergic to fish, and the Hotel cooked a special cheese meal for her.
Nothing was too much trouble with the staff. The barman, Angelo, was a laugh and we had a great time in the bar, which was not dingy, but in the stlye of a Spainish hacyenda.
We also had two nights using the bowling alley which was a great laugh.
Yes, there was a road and railway but after a while, we just ignored them.
The rooms were comfy, could have done with tea making but that was a minor point.
The hotel is on a main bus route, there is a Aldi and Lidl within walking distance as well as a garage which has a shop and snackbar.
The food at the hotel was good, our friend got meals that she could eat.
Nice little touch Easter morning,we had a chocolate rabbit on our plates and coloured eggs in a bowl at breakfast.
Everything in the room worked,no broken light fittings etc
At no time was the staff disrespectful or rude, they could not do enough to serve us in the resturant and the bar. As Antonio kept saying "Lovely Jublee!"
When we left, the manger came on our coach and wished us a safe journey home.
All in all a very nice Hotel.

Our group received a warm welcome when we stayed at this hotel during an Easter break. The food was delicious and excellent value. The rooms were basic, but clean and tidy. My bathroom was small but functional and beautifully decorated. My only issues were that the proprietors did not speak much English and there was no extra bedding or tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. I know these are English things, but I think this hotel would benefit from more tourist custom if it addressed these issues.

Stayed here on a coach trip, no one in our party was impressed with the dark ,dingy and cheerless dining room and bar area, or the badly maintained and run down bedrooms. There is no lounge in which to sit and socialise in a comforable chair.Evenings were spent in the morbid bar, as it was too far to walk to a cheerful pub with a bit of convivial atmosphere. The owners attitude was in the main hostile I heard her raise her voice on at least two occasions, once was when she she seemed genuinely shocked that someone asked for Mayonnaisse to go on the salad. The food was mediocore, on the whole tasty but not what you would expect at Christmas,no effort was made to make it an enjoyable experience..Could be so much better with a little more thought and effort and also some training in how to deal with paying guests.

The food we had on the first night was like a bad school dinner, anaemic, watery and lukewarm. A lot of our party cancelled their half board option and went elsewhere, but due to the out of town location there is very little choice unless you are prepared to get a taxi into town. The room we had had a massive heating duct right outside the window along with broken mirrors, no bulbs in the bathroom and dried foam chip pillows which were disintegrating into dust. The owner/manager was very curt and rude and actually shouted at two other couples during our horrendous stay. We exchanged rooms with our tour guide who also agreed our room was more suited to being a store room. The new room had a broken bed frame, no tv or air con. To make things worse there is a passenger and freight train line on the other side of the road which runs all night and even with ear plugs you can still hear it drowning out the traffic on the busy road below. There is absolutely no way this should be advertised as three star. I would suggest a complete refurbishment, a change of management and a rerouting of the train lines, but as I do not think that will happen save yourself a truly awful experience and go somewhere else.
