Went in here after a great walk on German Renunification day with my German wife and her family. The waitresses were fighting when we walked in (our first warning). While waiting 30 minutes for service, I noticed that the other customers were having to ask for missing or incorrect orders. Most looked unhappy. If it was insanely busy, more sympathy could be given, but it was only 3/4 full.
The waitress finally took our order of just drinks and two pieces of cake.
15 minutes later the cake and cold drinks arrived. The other waitress (which the owner should fire immediately) a women in her mid thirties brown hair, slightly latino look, slapped down the cakes and drinks very angrily. She then started to flick and push the table cloths laid on our table, huffed shook her head angrily (as they were not 100 straight) and stormed off muttering under her breath. She made it very clear she was unhappy, and wanted every customer to know it to and to feel very unwelcome.
one of the cakes was slammed so hard on the table it nearly landed on my wife's sisters lap.
We waited for 5-10 minutes longer for the hot chocolates we also ordered, but they never came. The child with us who asked for one of those drinkd was by now getting upset as he was tired from such a long walk. I asked where they were, and got a look of contempt.
5 minutes later they turned up with no apolagy, no smile, no service.
Do not eat or drink in this establishment. It was a disgrace to the town, and one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant.
if the manager or owner reads this, replace your staff or send them for training. One of your waitresses was completely hostile to every customer in the room. Completely unacceptable.
On the single plus side, it has a great view of the Rhine.
