We had high hopes for this place, since the reviews are super solid, but in the end we were underwhelmed.

The hotel itself is nice, clean, and comfortable. Our problem was with some of the little things that all hotels should get right.

First, the internet system is bizarre. They ask you at the front desk if you want internet, to which everyone would of course answer "yes". Then they print off a slip that has a unique user name and password on it, that expires in one day. You need to sign it for their records. So we got that slip, went up to the room, and tried to connect our phones and laptops, and found that the username and password will only work on the first device you use them on. So if I connect my phone, then then wifi off so we can use the laptop, it won't work. We ended up having to convince the staff to provide two more slips, which expired the next day. The next night we had to start over again. On top of that, the internet speed and signal strength was brutal.

It felt like we were trying to access the CIA or something. What is the point of so much security?

The room itself was nice, but very hot. We left he windows partially open for some ventilation, and that's how we discovered (starting at 5AM) that there's construction going on in the neighbouring town and all of the dozens of dump trucks start to drive down the road immediately outside the hotel in an endless stream for the whole day. Not a restful sleep.

Lastly, when we went to check out, we couldn't find anyone who worked there. We rang the bell, rang the doorbell, and even called the hotel (which was an international call for us), but no luck. In the end, we scribbled a note on a piece of paper and left, unsure if that would satisfy their checkout process.

We wouldn't go back, considering there are literally hundreds of hotels in the nearby towns and in Munich.

Hotel is about 20 kms north of Munich Airport. Hotel is very clean, quiet, new and priced well. The hosts were extremely helpful: from driving me to the airport, washing & hanging my clothes, to being just great hosts. The grandmother was a real charm. They were gracious to our Fussball team and again later when I returned the night before I returned to Canada. Might be a little difficult to find. Not a tourist trap. About 11 kms from the 'oldest brewery in the world' > Weihenstephan Brewery, great place to eat and drink with the locals.

Plagiarizing CraigD552 write up as it matches my review with some slight corrections. My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights which is run by a family. Super clean and modern, even had an elevator. The breakfast buffet was very good. We had a room on the second floor in the rear of the building. I loved the view of the small church on the hill except for the bells at 6am. The train stop with a ticket machine was a leisurely ten minute walk away. The train ride to Munich HBF took approximately 40 minutes. There was wireless internet but you had to ask for it and they gave you a slip of paper with code similar look to a cash receipt. We ate at an Italian restaurant, which was close by the train station, decent meal. Also, there is a REWE grocery store near the train station. We also ate at a restaurant (steak house) downtown Langenbach but need to find the name and will post separately under the restaurant reviews, it was very good. Try the French Onion soup!!!

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. Super clean and modern, even had an elevator. The staff was helpful when we had to ask for two Waschlappen(washcloths). The breakfast buffet was very good. We had a room on the second floor in the rear of the building. I loved the view of the small church on the hill. The train stop with one ticket machine is a couple of blocks away. The train ride to Munich took approximately 40 minutes. NO wireless internet was the only thing missing during our stay, however, the rooms have a hard wired port to connect a network cable. We ate at an Italian restaurant, which was close by the train stop. Excellent pizza. Also, there is a REWE grocery store nearby. Munich airport is a 15 to 20 minute drive, and there is a gas station on the way to fill up that rental car before dropping it off.
