“Osteria La Torre is one of a kind.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

One of the best restaurants we have ever been, not only in Piemonte, not only in Italy, not only in Europe but in the world. We are a couple who likes travelling a lot and wherever we visit we enjoy going to good restaurants with quality food.Osteria la Torre in Cherasco is magnifico.Excellent, starting from the fresh crissini (from a local baker),the great barolo wines and the amazing piemontese kitchen from local fresh products greatly cooked and served.Slow food as they say in Northern Italy. You enjoy every minute of it.Its like a feast you start eating at eight o'clock and you end around eleven to eleven thirty. You have to try the whole meal, from the antipasti to the deserts.
One thing is for sure that this year although we are visiting Torino, one evening we will drive espessialy to Cherasco(50 chilometers south)to go to Osteria La Torre.

“A little temple of traditional Piedmontese cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

A small cozy restaurant in the beautiful hill city of Cherasco (less than an hour drive from Turin), which serve home made, traditional Piedmontese cuisine. The menu changes daily and it is explained by the owner at each table. The quality of the ingredients and the flavors are superb. Service is nice, attentive, whilst unobtrusive. Coming from a big city, I find the prices very honest and extremely competitive. In Turin, Milan, Florence, Rome and so on you would not find better food at this price. I suggest a visit before it becomes more popular!

“Buono ma prezzo esagerato ... Good but very very expensive price is out of mind considering what you eat”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

Confermo cosa detto qualche recensione fa... Prezzo esagerato .. Come per un ristorante 5 stelle .. Tajarin al tartufo non di grande qualità 45 euro ... Cocotte al tartufo. 30 euro... Incredibile un uovo + una piccolissima spolverata di tartufo ... Esageratissimo ... Non lo consiglio

I confirm what someone said before.. Esagerated price . Same price you pay for 5 stars restaurant without same value , pasta with truffle not top quality 45 euros. ... Come on... One egg with few sliced pieces of truffle 30 euros..:: ... Out of the world...
Really expensive .. A trap for tourists.. Be aware...

“Extraordinary Food, "No Menu, No Prices and you will leave happy"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2011

The owners, two brothers run this place like a watch that keeps perfect time, all the time.
They provide a verbal menu to each table and go from there. Erica speak fair English.
Super meal and a surprise the bill was much less than we expected, wonderful find. We had been here a few years ago and just did a revisit. Amazing in every way.

“Excellent - as always!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2011

We have been in this restaurant 3 times by now, because every time it has been an excellent experience. Also this time, we were not let down.
The menu does not exist in written form, it is explained by the owner. he does also speak English, but it helps to know a few words of Italian. Especiall good is the combination of 3 starters. If you are really hungry, go for the typical Italian combination antipasti - primi - socondi - dolce; but usually that is too much (even the owner advises you to decide about the secondo piatto after having had the starter and the first dish, how kind of him).
That they also serve excellent wine does not need to be explained in this region...
The value for money is very good, and as the restaurant is usually completely full it is advisable to reserve a table.
