I grew up eating torta di patate in the Val di Non and while this is not the best I've ever had it's a fine product and the best I've found in a restaurant. It's thinner than one that would be made at home, which is understandable given the exigencies of the restaurant setting but it's got the classic texture. Crispy towards the edges, creamy in the center. The cold cuts that come with the torta are top notch and thinly sliced and the two cheeses are for me the classic pairing with the torta. This is the type of thing that you you should eat because no one ever tells you to try it. Take this as a hearty endorsement of not only this restaurant but Torta di patate in general. If you are within an hour's drive of Cavedago it's worth your time to visit Bellavista. And as the name implies, the view is stunning! Can't wait to go back. It's also a terrific value.
