We spent our wedding anniversary here, and it was awesome!
At first we had booked a room for two nights, but when we arrived there realized that wanted to stay at this place for one night more!
It's really fantastic place surrounded by vineyards. The owner of chateaux is a very friendly and hostable woman. We arrived late to her place and she met us on the way to chateaux just to follow us. It's very difficult to find it yourself.
We lived in Cabernet, it's very lovely, but if you have big baggage choose another room, because there is no elevator there.
We highly recommend this place to stay at! You'll spend great time there.
It's close to St. Emilion and not far away from Bordeaux.
Of course you need a car, because of the distance to other towns. But I think it's obvious...I don't understand people who mention the fact that it's difficult to get there.
But! We couldn't find this plase with ease and had to call the owner, but it was ok.
We hope to return to this chateaux!!

After 6 busy days of sightseeing, we are glad to stay at the Chateau De Mole.  The sauna and spa bath are just the perfect relief for tired feet :) Enjoying modern facilities in the heart of vineyards, that's real cool man!

Maryline is so nice and helpful that I knew I did the right thing in selecting a Chateau which located outside Saint Emilion!  Btw, the restaurant,  Le Clos Mirande, that recommended by Maryline is unbeatable :P

We stayed at the chateau de mole for 4 nights in July; the chateau has a number of guest rooms and the first night there was a Canadian (?) family but the 2nd to 4th night we were alone, no receptionist or anything. Service from staff therefore was non-existant between 5pm and 8am? The room was big, room interior was expensive and well-appointed but not to my taste.

Perfect place for a quiet and personal stay near St Emilion. Maryline couldn't be a better host and the the breakfasts are as Continental as they could be (you can't stop eating those freshly baked croissants). Whatever the time of day the sun always seems to shine through the rooms of the château! We stayed in Malbec and loved the facilities and size of the room (Sauna etc). Provided you have a means of transportation, exploring the lands surrounding the château is a fantastic experience (whether by bike or car). Tiny sleepy towns are scattered all around Puisseguin. For food, try to avoid the more touristy town of St. Emilion and instead find restaurants in alternative locations (Maryline has plenty of recommendations and will reserve for you!). Cave a Vins and Clos de Mirande are a couple I've been to and both were fantastic.

Things worth doing:

a) Coming back to the Chateau after wine hunting in St. Emilion and just sitting down in the communal living room to try them

b) waking up just before the break of dawn to see the settled mist in the vineyards

c) taking the Chateau De Mole wine tasting course

d) cycling around (hills make it tough sometimes but it's worth it!)

e) Keep trying different wines! It's OK to be mildly intoxicated all day (provided you're not driving!)!

Room Tip: Sun always shines on Malbec! Windows facing out to vineyards!

This interesting chateau lodging is located in the midst of the St. Emilion montagne region and is a designer's feast of remodeling of an old chatau and chai. Newly-weds might enjoy the excellent rooms with luxury features including a bottle of the chateau's own wine. Close to all of the regional wineries and towns, the location is ideal for visiting. The morning breakfast is copious and served in a kitchen breakfast area that lent itself to morning exchanges with other residents.

What an extrodinary place! We arrived on a Sunday evening to find out that no one else was staying in the chateau that night. We were shown to our room (more on that later) and given the keys to the place and left there.. with an entire Chateau to ourselves! It was very exciting.

We stayed in Carmeniere, which was just beautiful. It was very sizeable, very clean, very well appointed and the bathroom was huge and modern. Easily the best shower we had in France. Oh and when you opened the windows they looked out over the vineyard. Cannot say enough about how fantastic the room was.

In addition, we were served breakfast at our time of choice each morning. Croissants, bread, juice, coffee, yogurt, etc. Maryline made us feel very at home and was very kind and charming. We requested a tour of the wine making side of the building and she showed us everything and even let us taste a couple of wines.

This is one of the rare places that I would seek out to stay in again. It's only about 8-10, scenic driving minutes from St. Emilion and was significantly less expensive then the hotels in town and much nicer from what I saw. I would recommend to anyone and everyone.
